  • im liking the acdc as i am from australia

  • Hello Steve,

Thank you so much. I made this box for someone very special to me. She loved it. I learned a lot from your videos. I think I'm going to try my hand at the chess board next. Please keep the projects coming.

  • Hi Steve , I fill screw holes with wooden tooth picks , If you snap them in half you can chap them in tight ,which I do for old door frame hinges,

    love your work,

    Graeme.

  • hey steve i have a helpful hint for you to make the indents on the wood for the hinges you could use the sanding bit for a dremel and it would save you alot of time and dremels are pretty cheap i got my cordless one for 30 bucks

  • Hi Steve,

I like your work. I'd like to suggest using some sort of a lid stop. This set-up causes the lid to act as a lever to rip the hinges out if the top is opened any way more than gently.

    Thanks.

  • or barrell hinges would have been great also.

  • Hello Steve,

nice videos and I have learned a lot out of, but I have two suggestions.

    1. screw the hinges on the wood then score the edges with a sharp utility knife, it makes it easier line the area to remove.

    2. try to use a vise or clamp your work to ur bench.. this way u avoid cutting urself as you did.

I hope ur finger heels well..

    Regards

  • Haha! Yeah, I should have clamped it down! I often find myself doing dumb things. Nothing more than a slightly annoying cut, though.
