  • paul stanley looks better with black hair like this if you agree

  • 3:50 lol stanley fucked up?

  • I can never understand why people click on a video or a band they do not like, and then bash them. Go watch what ever the hell you want. But why search for something you do not like, then click on it and watch it, only to bash it. Then, when you go to those bashers sites, they have videos of a tomato growing or some rodeo bullshit. That is fine. Click on a nature show or a wandering mule in some trailer park. But stay away from KISS vids. Thank-You............

  • 3:48 when the harmonies start to got to shit in the solo, Ace looks back at at Paul like, "fuck dude we're going down hill!" still amazing though!

  • I bet Gene would pay a few mill to have that hair again. Age robs you of everything. I sort of like the different way he plays the bass on this one.

  • The angle they shot this footage alows us the viewer to imagine ourselves onstage as a KISS member and what it feels like to be a rock star in a way.

  • My FIRST CONCERT EVER: KISS DESTROYER TOUR, September 6, 1976,

    VARSITY STADIUM, TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA.

    Exactly 35 Years Ago!!

( I was really young when I saw that show! STIL YOUNG at Heart! LOL!

  • am Ende des Solos haben sie sich voll verspielt

  • the 'kiss' are well breed morons to kill the real punx like NY Dolls and others and to shut down th Movement

  • @mada45100 You've got your underpants on backwards. It's generally the punk movement that's known for it's moronic behavior and lyrics. The NY Dolls were not real punk. Kiss didn't kill the punk movement...Kiss didn't rebel against rock...Kiss was ROCK and had wider appeal. When did David Johanssen ever NOT look like a moron when he was performing?! When Gene Simmons performs, he rules the rock world. Kiss has staying power, and the NY Dolls were just on the slow road to a burnout.

  • @emidore Moronic lyrics? You’ve got your head up your ass. The New York Dolls were proto-punk. Real punk bands like the Clash and the Sex Pistols had lyrics that perfectly reflected the political landscape of Britain at the time, and told the listener why they were rebelling superbly.

  • Wow Gene is playing horrible on this one.

  • All hail the - Demonic - Jew Fro from the days of yore!!!

  • they changed my life FOREVER,kiss rocks

  • Paul's hair is HUGE!!!!!!

  • Not only has he cranked the volyme a couple of turns to much on the volume knob, he plays wrong, many times during the whole video. Why cant Gene stop caring only about the women and money for 4 mins and 34 secs and try to play the right baseline..

  • i dont see peter or ace on this clip. no wonder they left the band cuz gene and paul wanted all the attention. nevertheless i love KISS. all four members!!!!!

  • Ya KISS was biggrer in 1977 and 78 Ya I like it when Ace hits a sour note at 3:50 and looks for Genes reaction

  • @MrLemmy2000 And he did the same sour note (detroit rock city) in Housten in 1977 and GENE was bitching at Ace on YOUTUBE

  • Gene is really clamming the bass line here...

  • heavy shit

  • To me KISS were more Metal on most of their songs.

  • wow, m gusta la rolita aunke no son de mi époka, pero sé ke kon el disko kiss alive muchos que ni les gustaba el rock, se hicieron rokeros y famosos!! =p

  • The reason they style has not changed since the 70's is because Paul and gene Realized that they had no talent so they came up with a big scheme "HOT SHOWS". They realized if they keep going the way they did there popularity would plummet and Kiss would be over in a few years time. The awesome live shows keep the idiots coming.

  • @manz900 LOL I'd have to agree. That's not to step on any Kiss fans' toes either. I think most "smart" Kiss fans realize these guys aren't the must musically talented artists in the word. They're entertainers though - and at that - they're might not be anyone better.

  • @manz900 that sounds funny coming from a maggot thats just watched this video

  • @manz900 Once again, you know nothing, I doubt that KISS sold 100 million albums on no talent. Stick to the country and classical instead of coming on here bashing people you're obviously jealous of.

  • Knights in Satan's Service indeed. Jean Simmons and Paul Stanley, Two money hungry Jews who caused Ace and Peter to leave the band. I read somewhere that Paul and Jeane were giving Ace and Peter a tiny amount of the millions of dollars they earned when a agreement couldn't come to terms they both eventually left the band. Paul and Gene couldn't accept a smaller amount of green. People come for the shows, Paul and Gene don't care as long as they make millions and millions there happy.

  • @manz900 You obviously know NOTHING. Peter left because he didn't want to be in the band, as did Ace, they rejoined again in 1995 and Ace left in 2000 of his own accord, he wasn't kicked out. Plus, they were both alcoholic junkies who only slowed GENE and Paul down. I suggest if you're going to try and insult one of the Rock Gods, at least try and spell his name correctly.

  • wow i found this band now i thinnk they're amazing

  • f- that person that was standin in da middle of da cam

  • They were not put before us to give us inspired music and musicianship. They put on a GREAT show, and just happen to have a few good tunes that we like very much. It was worth it in 1977; $7.00 for mezzanine St. Louis Checkerdome.

    "SHOUT IT OUT LOUD"

  • I was there 8th grader but don;t rightly remember shit!

  • Gene's bass sounds horrid on this one hah

  • Fun clip - and at 3:48 one of the guitars (Ace?) totally loses it on the harmony line LOL. I love those little mistakes on live performances.

  • Holy shit where did you get this? Great vid but much like modern times it's the Gene and Paul show. Someone hits a REAL sour note around the 3:50 mark! Paul Stanley's real hair is great in this BTW Happy Birthday, Starchild!

  • I love kiss but gene hit enough wrong notes to fill a five gallon bucket here...lol

  • @SydbarF haha yea

  • Dude, relax. I never said that they were not a significant influence on American rock history, Just that the were not very good musicians.

Chill on the name calling and get back to work! (that is, if you have a job!)

  • At 2:35 Paul runs forward like a chick with his arms flailing in the air! If I wasn't a KISS fan and saw this for the first time, I would think Paul was a chick! Maybe the song Flaming Youth was Paul's way of trying to tell us of something. Still fan even though Paul runs like a chick.

  • Yeesh!

Can't believe I loved the guys as a kid. While my pals were into the Stones and Floyd, I listened to this shit. Fortunately, i came around pretty quickly and didn't "miss" anything important. Certain I made a fool of myself though... :)

  • @MrPompousPilot You Pompous Bastard. Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones may be better but KISS is still a significant part of music and in no way be called "shit". Jackass.

  • only "The hottest band in the Land " ??!!

  • yeah i wish i coulda been there as well! by the time i got into these lads they had manifested into the "lick it up" phoney Kiss era! Great without make - up but seeing them in make-up with full (ish ) stage show at the 1996 Donington is a memory i will have for a long time. Thanks Kiss. Thank you for spoiling every single live concert ive ever seen since. Every live band continues to live in your shadow. How the hell is any band ever going to top this?

  • @MAGNUM2F I was at this show, I believe it was july 8th or 10th 1 date only $6.00 F#@%KIN DOLLARS!!!!! (it was a birthday gift from my dad which was on the 2nd) Opening act was BOB SEGER AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND....lol What a great show, they were still selling the KISS 75 tour programs at the show...wow great to find this on here! The good quality video is from two huge screens at the summit that made every seat a good one....

  • @MAGNUM2F That's the problem. Nobody ever will.

  • two weeks ago i was at a kiss concert for my sixteenth birthday i had both thrid row seats and backstage passes. GREATEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish I could have been here!!!

  • Really a genuine treat. Thanks for the post. Very Unique viewpoint, and really good quality considering how dark everything can be..

  • At their greatest

  • @nostalgia43 kiss are not glam. slade, sweet and the like were glam. kiss is hard rock. always has been always will be.

  • Lets face it, without makeup they were really nothing.

  • Love the trainwreck from Paul on the lead at counter # 353..Ace looks back like wtf??? Classic...

  • Gene sure don't move like that no more i'm not even sure he can

  • @Ajbadboy252 I don't know about that he was pretty energetic last night.

  • I use too think these guys were scary but then one of my friends tell me to watch a goregroth video and omg they are scary as fuck!!!! Goregroth makes Kizz look like clowns!!!

  • Gene's hair looks amazing!

  • Wow.. love the beginning; it's like being there.. kinda.. or maybe it's the pain killers.

  • All time best fucking band in the universe at one of the greatest points in their career!!! Gotta love how Gene is so energetic on stage!! KISS FOREVER!!!!! <3<3<3

  • I was at this concert at the age of 13. I'm 47 now. Such memories..

  • yeah its kinda ironic that the band that many uptight types think is satanic is playing in the arena that is now Joel Olsteens mega church. I saw so many great rock and roll shows there its hard to remember them all.

  • gene simmons bass line kicks ass

  • I would have loved to see Kiss in this era, my first viewing was in the 1980's

This song is a great opener, one of the best a rock band can have

  • this show is much better than anaheim. you can actually see some of the destroyer stage props.

  • Back in 'the day', The Summit had an in-house camera crew that would shoot multi camera productions to be shown on the 'big screen' in the arena. Alot of these shows have seen legit (and bootleg) release. ...and now, 'The Summit' is Joel Osteen's church. Long Live ROCK!

  • It always seems as though many top bands have heavily bootlegged shows from the Summit. KISS, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Prince etc. This must be a top venue.

  • 1 of the few venues at the time that had video screens above the stage, like Capital Centre in Maryland (Largo, MD -was the 1st in '73; 1st used at an Alice Cooper show). Many times the shows were taped, & offered to the bands for purchase by the venue And also why shows from these 2 venues are very common from this period. They eventualy leaked out, likely 4 some bucks. Most bands passed on the chance to buy the tapes usually, quite expensive.

  • @OneGuitarDude Its was from 1975-1980. atleast for KISS

  • embarrassing FLUB at 3:51.... holy dissonance batman.

  • @BiologicalUnit2380 ouch!! painfull

  • Half jewfro half kabuki

  • gene looks way better with the giant jew fro then he does with his straighten stiff halmet hair.

  • hahaha ur funny swish

  • @swishersweets2008 it's his rich american jew look

  • @hayabusafmw ...not THEN it wasn't. NOW it is.

  • @swishersweets2008 LOL you are right

  • @swishersweets2008 Chia-Kiss.

  • This hit from Destroyer has become a staple at every KISS concert. This LP, IMO, firmly entrenched KISS as a force to be reckoned with. Keep rockin' guys.

  • i love this song

  • I was at this concert. My seat was to the left/side of stage. Not the best seats, but it was still fun. I'm 46 years old now and remember this so well.

  • What is that lighting rig during the beginning of the solo at 3:20? What does that do?

  • at 3:27 paul stumbles or something and cuts into the his part prematurely, apparently pissed drunk. Then at 3;51 paul knocks his guitar right out of tune really badly somehow, ace is obviously concerned. if you watch this a couple times, one conclusion can be made. paul sucks. ace and gene coulda made a wicked band without this nerd. He somehow refineed his talent in the following years, though, and ace 's bright star faded from substances. it goes to show something,i guess

  • Okay, he might have misfired a little there, but come on, Paul Stanley is one of the greatest front men ever. Kiss without Paul... what'd be the point?

  • yeah, i love paul too, but he could'nt party and do business like ace or peter. he had to become the designated driver with gene. Ace would havin fun and jokin and being spontaneous while paul and gene were rehearsing interviews.

  • @amazonboobs you got all of that out of this video?

  • I think Paul was fucking wasted for this show.

  • He was wasted on the Hotter Than Hell album cover, and Peter had to hold him up.

  • Singing sucks, but wow what a stage show---compare this to Zeppelins show---Musically Zep was vastly superior, but these guys had the "show"part down.

  • wheres ace at i didn,t see him

  • how about the solo?

  • gene got that hair going on ,sour notes aside great vid never saw b 4

  • yes... amazing how their appearance changed in just a few months...not just talking costumes

  • 9/2/76...KISS in Cleveland. My first concert. I was 13. This footage brings back a ton of memories! I can still remember the Destroyer set blowing up at the end of "Black Diamond". Wish I could find some footage of that. The Destroyer tour and stage will always be my favorite.

  • I don't think you'll find any video from that concert, but there is a great soundboard recorded bootleg from the Cleveland show.

  • A band on their way to the top. Just feel the power and that buzz.

  • CORRECTIONS: platform SHOES, Lol

  • the beauty of error is what makes it real,.....we're not robots, perfection is boring,......lol, what i don't understand is how these guys don't fall down and break their necks wearin' those platform shows, especially coming down those stairs, lol, you can see gene kinda hobble down em, lol, you know he's not dumb enuff to try and run full speed in all what he's wearing, and those shows, whew!

  • it's actually VERY easy to run in them, you jst gotta be more careful and pick up your feet more and it's more tireing. i have pair as big as theirs that i wear all the time and i performed on stage with them. it's real easy. but running down stairs is not a good idea haha

  • 3:51 Paul messed up bad..notice ace turn around and look at

  • I noticed that too! I still think it's not as bad as Gene's playing throughout the whole song. Peter sounds in top form!

  • saw this one.

  • THis was when Kiss was really animated..now they just do'nt move.

  • they move alot. they're very active. not as much as back in the 70s and 80s but that's the price with age. KISS still kicks the shit outta every band with stage presence today that are half their age. look at Alice Cooper, he's really stiff onstage and he does'nt do nearly as mch as KISS does

  • Nah

  • your right

  • Man,the SUMMIT would film every show that came through. They projected it on screens on either side of the stage. There must've been some kind of agreement between the artist and the venue.

  • amazing video!!!!

    brazilian people here?

  • gene's hair is HUGE!

  • Very cool. I used to have this show on vhs but it cut off half way through. Thanks for posting.

  • Get up! Get down! It's Detroit Rock City!

  • wow!!! Great stuff again!!Thank you very much! I wonder where do you get things like this!! U R cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I get all this stuff from trading with other Kiss fans.

  • @74BlackDiamond74 The greatest glam band of all time..

  • cool view of the stage

  • yeah
