What a beautiful show. It seems hard to believe now that there was a time when people of this caliber could sit together and have such an intelligent, civilized and funny conversation together on television.
Marvelous episode! I wish someone would find and post the later Tonight Show episode on the occasion of Coward's 70th Birthday with Tammy Grimes & Brian Bedford, then touring in PRIVATE LIVES, doing the first scene from the play and later, "on the couch," Tammy telling a wonderful story about her daughter's reaction to her winning the Tony for the role.
Absolutely brilliant. I saw this 41 years ago, and never thought I would ever see it again. It remains as fresh and vibrant today as it did all that time ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I wish I was witness to Sir Coward's spectacular comedy...But alas, I was born two-decades too late.... :(
