this version of this song is such a *tour de force*. It's so good!  But the funny thing is, she's not really there*. Her moue in the final frame looks bored or deeply sad--fuck "this"!--and her eyes show longing to be elsewhere throughout. If a person can sing like that and carry such a fab band without seeming to be aware of doing so...well, we call it genius because we don't understand. I had no idea after all the years of retarded tabloid stories, that at the bottom af it all was this amazing singer and songwriter. The real deal. So i spent the month from Belgrade to her passing discovering her music. As you can see, i wrote the previous comment in the present tense. I wish that was still possible.
