Well, the whole point of a cover is to make it sound different. Also, Linkin Park isn't exactly what I'd call alt. rock anymore, they've became pretty soft over the past year or two.

Yeah this sounds different.. but her voice doesnt even keep rhythm with the music. Also her voice goes up and down where the music stays the same.. and in between that, her voice is totally flat.

Also I wouldnt now call Linkin Park, rock, or any form of music. The rap parts are ok, but that blonde dude never sings, he just whines alot, like a 4 year old who has his toy taken away.. its really shrill and annoying.. but at least his voice fallows the music.

Thanks, I had to pull a few tricks to get it were it is. I lucked out in that Marie filmed in front of a white background so i could screen it out and use her beautiful face as a sort of alternative Cortana.

I had nothing to do with the recording, just the Halo video editing. Maria Digby set the camera on her Piano and preformed the song and really only does these covers for the fun of it. I don't think she care's if it sounds like a profession album, unlike her recently released professional album. The only way to download Marie Digby's version would be the same way I did, by using a youtube downloader. Search google, there are free ones and even ones that run from a webpage. If you do, you should download her original version so it doesn't have the static and the beginning and end. Her link is in the info box.

Marie Digby, (See the video info for her links), often does covers in her house, just for fun. This is one of my favorites of hers and I decided to make a music video out of it. I used some of her video footage becuase I thought she looked great as a kind of Cortana in human form. Anyway it sounds like it does becuase she just placed the camera on her piano in her living room and hit record.

Technically it's not animation, what I did was compositing/editing. It wasn't hard it was fun, but time consuming since the most important part of music videos is the timing. You have to take into account both the music's beat and the vocal cues.
