Looking up my favorite toys from my childhood and this is one of them. I remember driving from Niles Ohio to Uniontown PA in the back of the Family Rambler station wagon with the machine gun sticking out the back window and shooting up all the truckers on the PA and Ohio turnpikes. They would fake being hit as my machine gun would take aim at them - it was definitely a different world back then. I am sure the same stunt would end up with me and my father in family counseling.
I had this when I was a kid! It got me sent out in a blizzard on Christmas morning with a windchill that must have been just slightly above liquid nitrogen. It's also the day I learned- When momma ain't happy, AIN'T NOBODY happy!
I got one (all black) for Christmas in the 50's and had a great time playing war with my friends who's dads were also WWII vets.. Went through batteries quickly as I remember. Funny thing is I don't remember asking "Santa" for it. (My dad was a B-17 aerial gunner with the 100th BG)
