The law is you need the proof of ownership to foreclose(they need the origanal note) if they don't have it they lose, that is the law. You can't sell a car if you have no title, you can't repossess a car without a lein on the title. What is so hard to understand? If the bank doesn't have the note and the morgage it loses, too bad, it is their fault. That is what the law is, so live with it.
