This rollercoaster is still my personal favorite at Busch. I haven't been since 2006 or so, but I used to ride it constantly when I went there. It didn't have the wooden clanky thrills of Gwazi or the dangling feet of Montu, but man, Kumba is one SMOOTH rollercoaster and it has some serious G-force moments.

I figured out that if you turned your head to the left during the big drop and following loop, you instantly get a huge lurch in your stomach that feels so bizarre.. It's awesome.

@Sarah43va I like it better than Montu. It's no scarier in my opinion. In fact, I'd say the drops are more intense on Kumba (from memory). Don't let the dangling legs scare you; it's not bad!

Hands down, my favorite coaster of all time. The loop is 108ft tall by the way. I used to marathon ride this coaster. I would go wait by the rope by Rhino Rally, then go up through Timbuktu, and ride ride ride. LOVE this coaster!

@Cance251 I think you're right. I first rode it in 1997 I believe and it still had this paint job. By 2006 when I last went, it looked the same as this video (rusty). Luckily the ride was just as smooth as ever.

@scottraposo This ride is usually the first I ever go on at Busch Gardens Florida because there is hardly ever any wait to get on it cuase its in the back of the park, and most people head striaght to Sheikra first. So I can get in 5, 6, 7 rides on it in a row without any wait.

I went all all the roller coasters at busch gardens Tampa, FL and most people think that the sheikra is "Shekira" and that it is very scary, truth is it isn't scary at all and theres no lines its real short (back/middle row) I was 13 when rode and I saw no other child other than my cousin and she was scared to death.

@DJcrzynss flip cameras are designed for very close reocrding, and its easy for u to say sitting in a chair, ive recorded many coasters and the wind blowing on you, and watching out so park staff doesnt see you with a camera make it even more difficult
