I think this game is great its often played frequently at christmas with my mum and dad they are absolutely brilliant at it. I too saw a car that COULD be a pikes peak uphill car, however Rhyze81 must have been paying attention to the fact Colarado isn't listed as a location. Also the Australian tracks will be sorely missed, they were my fav too

Yeah, it also means that as you increase the difficulty the opponents actually drive more aggressivly/recklessly and if your able to keep up, you can watch them take risks and get hints. They also tend to smash more as they try to go faster.
I feel this is THE big innovation in this game, and would love to see it included in other ralley games from now on. The lack of other cars on track is the only non-reallistic thing in Richard Burns Ralley, so heres hoping for RBR:2
X games consist of 1 Raid, 1 trailblazer, and 1 rallycross.
As for the truck and buggy races, there is a good selection of vehicles, and lots of varity in the tracks. Generally though its not much differant to Dirt except you now start in a random position on the grid.
in some ways yes, well its more like DiRT 1 then any other rally game. Theres a couple of really good innovations added, but a few "expected" things removed.
You no longer have to repair your car, is always shiny and new at the start of the race. Also you cant really tune cars, tuning takes place at the start of each race and is very basic slidebars (gears accel - high speed etc) but i guess to the average gamer, these things would be a positive.
@MrAMERICANxMUSCLE its actually cooler wen ur doing rallycross or landrush and u see sumone hit sumthing, and then they start flipping and rolling. wen there car is lying on the road totally destroyed, u drive past and toot ur horn at them ! its so fun !

unfortunattely there is no split screen but that should not put u off. this game has the most jaw-dropping physics i have ever seen in a game, and every little detail of the game is incredible. i could go on for hours describing how good it is, but i suggest u watch sum video reviews by IGN or Gamespot. hope i helped :D
How come all these racing games look great but sound rubbish. Ever since the original colin mcrae came out the car sound effects just havent been up to scratch. Even now it seems they are using the same whiney effects for the cars. For me I wish the producers would spend less time on making it look all fancy and more time making the car sound realistic and giving the game more feel
well, need for speed shift looks like it has gameplay like need for speed pro street, so im not gunna get it, nfs was best when it was open and u had the police chases, like in most wanted
u shud get this game, it looks really good, and it sounds like there is good music
yeah i played the dirt 2 demo and it was fun.. despite how much i got pooned online.. *sigh* i'll probaly just wait on reviews for both games to decide which one i buy.

it dose have a redeeming factor though, all the rally stages have the other cars on them at the same time.
The starts are 10 seconds apart which adds to a "reall" feeling.
First time i heard the co driver say "caution there's an accident ahead" blow my mind.
