I think they were just mesmerized by the band's performance. This is probably the first time they heard the "extended" version of this song. Imagine yourself hearing this version for the first time. It would completely blow your mind! The buildup after the bridge is brilliant! They should rerecord this song.

His high note at around 7:49 is thin and off key. I don't know...I love this song and there are some amazing performances of it, but this is one of the worst IMO.

This is a really GREAT performance and version of Emotion Sickness, but I must agree with the others who have commented it, the one in Sao Paulo 2003 i actually better.. :) just amazing!

i dunno... the live in melbourne version seemed emotionally raw and amazing...
what would be awesome is if silverchair performed the original album version with a live orchestra on the show "Live From Abbey Road" and you'd have the best version of the song... that or if daniel decided to do an unplugged version
this song is definately in their top 2 songs. The song is unlike any other so it cant be said they are rippin nirvanas riffs or whatever n i think this song might hold some real meaning for daniel all round a "beautiful" rock song
