i haven't finished it yet, i'm at the bit where he talks about his where he goes with two fat prostitutes and when he is consorting wih druggies around oxford street. RB is a legend.
Actually, my dad, who is 74 this year, has taken to saying this after dinner! He manages it so say it in just the same cantakerous, wobbly way as Grandad from 'Bread'.
I'm sure that a lot of younger RB fans will not know what 'I want me puddingggg' is all about; in the eighties, there was a Scouse sitcom called Bread, and this was the catchphrase of the grumpy Grandad. Russell does a very accurate impersonation of him!

It'll be almost 7 years clean now, right? So he quit in 2002/2003?
Didn't he start presenting BBBM in 2004?

But I've read that book already, and I know for a fact he was clean and serene during BBBM and Efourum.
His drugged up phase was during Re:Brand.
You can tell as well.

Because, I'm sure I'm right...

You are right, John Noel and Chip got him sent to Focus, and then he did Efourum.
