I got the set for christmas and its great. I love the big booklet its got a lot of cool info and great pictures. The albums do indeed sound remastered before they were scratchy. This is a must for the hardcore fans out there

Im sure he was. Im glad to see he's performing again now. Roky has written and performed some amazing songs, both with the elevators and solo.

That'd be great if he did some shows around Washington DC (where i live) but even if he doesnt i still love him!

Its overpriced, unless youre a DIEHARD fan. I only have their first album on vinyl and cd, but its cheaper for me to just buy what i want=Easter everywhere, live and that Bull album (i forot the name of it darn).

The elevators do rock though, great great important band!

First of all, the boxset has the best mono sources for the first and second albums, plus brand new stereo versions with easier to hear jug and no stupid reverb like on the previous stereo versions.

Plus the new stereo version of the first album features the original tracklisting which the band intended before the label changed it without their permission.

As for the "Live" album, it's a disgrace and was made by the label so that it would make extra money. It's not even on the boxset.

@TheOneartist yea, i hate that stupid reverb..so glad they did this.....for years i got into fights with record collector nerds telling them that those albums sound like shit..........i guess people with dubious tastes think that if you drown your filet mignon in A 1 sauce it makes it better.......not so......now someone has found the multi trk masters and did them justice!.......and it's completely unavailable for poor ole me.....hopefully they'll issue them as individual cds.

@posthumanhero They're slowly reissuing the albums individually. Right now, they only have "Headstone: The Contact Sessions" out, and it's limited to 5,000 copies. Also, I'm not sure they're going to release the live albums from the set, since I don't see them being listed.

The only big reason to get them would be some unreleased alternate mixes which aren't on the box set, and the fact that they also have the original, stereo mixes. I'd download a lossless version of the set, though.

@iscream22 At about $150 new, that's not overpriced. Expensive, yes , but not overpriced. however, what the scalpers who bought up the originals and are now selling it for is overpriced.
