@VotePalpatine Plus they need to factor the cost in. If they built one made of solid steel plating or real armor: it would cost more to build (they need to build multiples too, just in case something like this happens), and it will be heavier, which means they need to get more expensive rigs to hang and move it. Just not at all practical to make it real. As long as it LOOKS real on screen :)

@TheTexasTaco Wait until post-production. A lot of scenes shot in movies these days take a lot of editing, but you need a solid base to start from. This thing is probably a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off/Landing) batwing, in which case, they are simulating it hovering through the streets, which is pretty bad ass...
