Its shocking how fast our planes are traveling. I once put a gps in a Carl Goldberg Cub and it topped out at 101mph with a os 70 four stroke. I think people underestimate the speed of our planes.

Thanks for that, I've waited to maiden mine as there were alot of issues with this plane regarding the proper cg with complimentary videos of the aftermath , I have seen alot of videos of these flying along just fine and then out of the blue for no apparent reason the plane snaps into an unrecoverable death spiral

@patrioticvet I also had about half tank of fuel on board when I did the GC because of the nose over on landing all in all have alot of flight and have not had any issues, Yes I have heard about this too and not really sure .. Good luck man let me nknow how it goes ,,Tim

Mr T.M, did you have any issues breaking in or running your fg125?  Horizon Hobby had quite a few neg comments regarding the engine. Just doing homework, it's a nice chunk of change. Thank you for your comments!!

Very nice T.M. Do you think the power 90 is overkill? Would the power 60 suffice? What did the 90 clock in at?

@Vectorp47 The Power 60 will be ok to use its just that with the 90 you can run a larger prop for scale and more cells but they both will work well.. Thanks for commenting...

Wow - nice long runway. How long is it? I fly a lot from ovals and have had to learn to do circular approaches - which are about as much fun as they sound.

Ohhhh God i love this P-51, the sound is Killlerrrrr!!!!, What i love about this P-51 is the engine and prop sound, plus it looks scale like a P-51 in an Airshow....That's for the Post Tinkerman!!!

All Great Questions:

It CG's out real nice with the FG-20 I had no issues. CG with a half tank and install one battery aft. No problems with the mid range run real well. You can slow it up real nice with the flaps down.. But with flaps up you got to keep your speed up. Hope this helps..Tim

A guy in my club just built one of those and had custom decals made to match a P-51 that he rode in. He was so proud of that plane. Well someone test flew it for him and it went fine. He goes to take it off and he destroys it. His first flight on it and it is garbage now.

What is the difference in flight time acheivable since you've converted this to gas? You've run this gal with both a very nice electric and gas set-up, just curious. I bet the 4-stroke would allow a pretty nice flight time. Sounds great too.
