  • It was sharp of Dorothy to ascertain the fact that she did not work in the US for starts.

  • At the time, Steve's late night show was on in New York only (on WNBC). That's why he continued to be a regular panelist. When Steve's show went national (and was renamed "Tonight") that September, Steve had to resign as a regular panelist. CBS wasn't very happy having ABC's main news anchor host a show on their network (Goodson-Todman insisted that Daly remain as host after he was hired by ABC) and they wouldn't allow a NBC host as a regular on a CBS show.

  • Nice line of questioning, Dorothy!

  • Micheline Muselli married Alan Jay Lerner, lyricist of My Fair Lady, in 1957. She was his fourth wife, and the marriage lasted about eight years.

  • Dorothy was so good at playing this game

  • I love Arlene's hair in this clip.

  • Wasn't Dorothy Kilgallen days away from having her baby in this episode?

  • yes, she had her baby march 19th

  • @UofLCardFan08 Pregnancy agreed with her. She looks robust and beautiful.

  • A kinescope of a kinescope. Cool.

  • Oh, and another thing. Dorothy is so cool, an awesome lady!

  • "What's My Line", esp. the original version is one of the classiest game shows of all-time. When you got the host and panelists in formal attire and addressing them just as formally, it doesn't get any classier indeed!

  • I totally agree! I wish the game shows and late night shows would have their guests dressed formal, it would be ao classy

  • Well done, Dorothy. Very smart questioning.
