I've been eating a low-fat diet for about 15 years and I had my gallbladder removed this past December, after feeling horridly for a year, with very painful attacks. Now I've gone low-carb and I haven't felt this good and energized in years.
Also, about modern cats and dogs...they don't eat a diet high in meat. They eat a diet high in grains and meat byproducts, which is what dog good is made of for the most part. So that really doesn't say much about how protein influences the kidneys.
In reply to Jibbie49. If they were on a low carb diet they would not be fat. Low fat diets make you fat.

80% of obese people have gallstones, so a "diet" doesn't cause them.

This guy is so off on so many points. Jimmy needs better quality control. Although he has had some great episodes lately.
