Scott said the he wrote most of these songs while Anthrax was recording Spreading the Disease. He felt the songs were too heavy for Anthrax. Scott and Charlie recruited Dan Lilker and Billy Milano to form SOD. Their first album was recorded 4th of July weekend in 1985 in like 3 days. They only played like 7 shows in the summer of '85. They weren't seen again as SOD until 1992 when they did a couple shows in NYC & released Live at Budokan

Dan, the bass player for S.O.D. was also with Anthrax for Fistful Of Metal. The first S.O.D. demo (Crab Society North) was released in 1985. The first Anthrax record came out in 84. Dan left Anthrax for Nuclear Assault, so Anthrax got Frank and S.O.D. did another Album (which bits and pieces are on my channel) and then they did the final release, Rise of the Infidels, was released in 07 as and extended-EP. It had 5 new songs, and 19 live songs.
