Real time pcr is based on the principle of pcr, the difference is that in real time pcr we adding a dna probe which consists a short DNA complementary to target DNA with one end is fluorescent reporter and another end is a quencher. now when the primer bind to target DNA as the chain is elongated until meet DNA probe, the 5'-3'-exonuclease will degrades the probe and separate reporter and quencher. There are more than 3 French terms and knowing French would be beneficial to understanding the detail of what's going on. In fact, towards the end of the video there's enough French that a non-French speaking individual like myself won't understand the difference between PCR and real time PCR. So continues the quest to find a video in English. If I were literate in French, it seems like this would be an excellent video to learn from.
