  • sabian aax fusion hats, sabian aaxplosion 14,16,18"crashes , sabian hhx 20"ozone crash sabian aax 8,10" splashes zildjian A custom 22" ping ride . job done !!!

  • Actually, i think zildjian i'ts a better brand but sabian has the better ride cymbals. Personally, i don't like meinl.

  • Ummm... Dream? *gets booed out*

  • Zildjian

  • paiste for metal stagg for rock

  • ZILDJIAN!!!!

  • SABIAN!!!!

  • Paiste. Meinl

  • SABIAN!!!!

  • stagg!

  • little history lesson for you all... the owners of sabian and zildjian are brothers, their dad originally owned zildjian cymbals but when he died the sons took it over and got into a huge sibling rivalry so one of the brothers left and started sabian

  • How about they are both top of the line cymbals.. just get both?

  • Both are good... I have Sabian right now and love them. I have also played Zildjian and loved them... whatever sound you like buy the cymbal for that.. not for the brand...

  • Sabian

  • i found zildjan better because they have much good stuff inside the cymbal exemple bronze , tin , gold , topaz etc... the sabian have not enough resource like topaz for make good cymbals like zildjan and because of the topaz the zildjan cymbals r like unbreakable ( zildjan K ) K= king if u dont know , thats why i love much the zildjan cymbals bot sabian r pretty good too and make the same sound bot nothing can be like a zildjan

  • @frost7drum lolz do YOU know what's exactly in sabian cymbals?

And even if there's "only" b20 bronze in Sabian Cymbals, they even sound awesome!

Zildjian is also nice, specially K and A Custom Series. But no cymbal in the world is "unbreakable"....

  • @TheGh0stGamer it's true that sabian cymbals only have b20 bronze but zildjian's top cymbals ( zildjian K, A custom, Z custom, K custom, Avedis, Z3 etc) all contain b20. The b8 bronze it's made for starters like zildjian zbt or zxt and the zildjian zht contains b12 bronze. The zbt, zxt and zht have lot's of cober and thin that diminues their definition and causes more overtones. I'm just saying, but i think that sabian doesn't even need b12, b8 or other kind of bronze. The b20 it's just fine.

  • i have to admit i have had some trouble with sabian, alot of their shit has crapped out pretty fast on me vs other stuff. I havent tried Zildjian yet though so i can't say.

I have used lower series paiste and they were kinda crappy and crapped out in a year or so, but I have heard very good things about their higher end stuff.

  • mix with all kind of brands!

  • PAISTE!!!!!

  • TRX

  • they are both amazing, in fact they are like the same, both owners of the companies are brothers in fact and they both use the same formulas for cymbals. but sabian has more custom lines and more different types of cymbals, but they are basically the same, i say split up among the two for the best sounding cymbals.

  • Zildjian!

  • Sabian

  • sabian

  • zildjan

  • It's all about your preference but I use Zildjian because it works for the kind of music I play and I love the quality and the sound. Sabians are good and the are inexpensive but I don't really like the sound of them to well. Again it's all about preference when it boils down.

  • it depends on the cymbal. i like my main crash to be zildjian, my second crash sabian, zildjian ride, and sabian splash. however china is always and will always be wuhan

  • They are both overrated, stagg make better cymbals that zildjian and they are the same price as beginner cymbals! Look on youtube for examples and you'll see what I mean :)

  • i'd have to go with sabian, Zildjian is more expencive. Plus, The Rev used Sabian.

  • soultone all the way

  • trx

  • seems most people on you-tube like paiste more but most people have zildjian ??

  • Sabian!!

  • homemade!

  • They're both pretty equal. I like Paiste over everything but if I were to decide, I'd say Sabian is just a little better than Zildjian. It's really all about personal taste, no cymbal is better than another cymbal. It's all about how much you like the sound

  • Comment removed

  • Zildjian. They were the original.

  • max tone!

  • I use Zildjian K thin crashes and Ks medium ride and Ks Hybrid hats, and A custom splashes, great cymbals, but Sabian make also great cymbals ( HH and HHX ,ARTISAN, and AAX are also good cymbals ! my personal choice - ZILDJIAN !

  • Paiste

  • PAISTE!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i vote ziljian because their name is confusing....

  • ASHTON! lol

  • Sabian ofcourse

  • Meinl ftw!!!!!!!!!

  • Sabian

  • MEINL!!!!

  • BOTH!!! lol i cant decide

  • Zildjian...

  • Zildjian has smoother decay than Sabian one most of the cymbal lines. The Z3 18" crash is the most versatile cymbal I've come across, loud bright but also a little trashy and dark. Try It.

  • SABIAN !!!!!!!!!

  • im a big paste fan but i do like sbian except i love the sound of a zildjan k custom ride that ride is just a beauty

  • Zildjiian!!!!!!!!!

  • Armand Zildjian and his brother Robert Zildjian parted company over disagreements in the late 1970's. Robert set up his own cymbal factory in Canada and the brand Sabian was born.

Professional-grade cymbals manufactured by both companies use the same bronze alloy consisting of 80% copper, 20% tin and traces of silver.

As drummers rarely conduct blind testing on drums or cymbals, most beginners tend to buy whatever their hero drummer is playing, IF they can afford to!

  • wuhan..

  • i like both i have sabian and zildjain cymbols on my kit my favorite zildjian is K my favorite sabian is AAX and im a metal drummer for 2 bands

  • I have broken and/or cracked every kind of cymbal you can think of EXCEPT Sabian B8's......I have beat the crap out of them and have purposefully tried to break them (within the scope of actually "playing" songs) and to this day, have never broke one......just sayin'

  • sabian and zildjian are both good :) my favourite is sabian :)

  • I actually use both. Almost split down the middle. I think I have 1 more Sabian than I do Zildjian. I favor the sounds of the Zildjian A customs though.

  • How are they made cheaper? Zildjian just makes their's look pretty. Would you like to know how? By doing the finish in Camel poop, congratulations your "better quality cymbals" are made that way by camel poop. Sabian only.

  • ZILDJIAN

  • Paiste haha xD

  • @monsterkiller93 Of course, Haha! I did say every drummer, myself included! One thing I've always noticed about drummers is that they will defend the gear they use like no other musician. I am not excluded, I will defend Pro Marks, Meinls, ect. until I'm blue in the face, hahaha.

    Peace!

    Noah

  • which lasts longer: sabian b8 or zbt?

  • Comment removed

  • Bosphorus, after being a paiste player, then zildjian player, then sabian, then meinl, i now play bosphorus and LOVE them.

  • Sabian's series logos don't look ugly like Zildjian's so I pick Sabian. Besides, Zildjian is too overrated.

  • both. i love them all!

  • You're a douche for making this video and pitting every drummer against each other. Here's my input.

Zildjian: Makes some high quality stuff. Used them a while. Customer service ended up screwing me.They lost my business.

Sabian: Been noticing a lot of cooler cymbals coming from them. Their cymbal revamp project is a big plus too. Might pick up a couple next year.

Meinl: Byzance series blew my mind. Customer support did too. That's what I ended up switching too. Don't regret it.

  • Depends what music you play but i use Zildjian!

  • Meinl

  • Zildjian

  • Zildjian+sabian=zilbian

  • Zildjian!!!! No contest

  • paiste

  • Sabian

  • Sabian

  • they're both made by the same people technically but sabian all the way!

  • Sabian.

  • Zildjian don't get me wrong I love sabian but zildjian has a lot more classic cymbals and a lot more work goes into each cymbal

  • zildjian? Isn't that an other name for crap you find in a junkyard?

  • Sabian! :D

  • Sabes.

  • Zildjian. They Are unique because they use differemt alloys than other cymbal companies. They have a secret formula like the crabby patty formuler. Hah. Spongebob.

  • sabian or paiste

  • ZILDJIAN

  • i would say paiste that's what i like to use

  • Sabian for New Age Diversity

    Zildjian for Vintage Sound

  • zildjians, without question

  • Zildjians.. definitely

  • sabian

  • Uh scratch that, I meant 14 inch thin crash. All other cymbals never failed (though I had a colorsound green china in the mix - it was cheap coz no-one wanted it - so cheap I couldnt resist it)

  • I used Zildjians at school. The kit there had Zil Ks and As..... They were ok - but then sabian came out - this was back in the late 80s BTW - and Sabians advanced the sound and clarity. I heard that they are owned by the Zildjian family, but after some dispute about manufacturing processes, they split and one formed Sabian. Might be an urban myth - anys, I used Sabians for years after that live and studio - and they rocked. Only cracked a 16 inch thin crash - my fault being a heavy hitter.

  • all cymbal brands are good it's just your style you like playing.

  • @BubbleWrapOwns dude first act shot is from like wal mart and toys r us lol you just got screwed so hard

  • Sabian is good, I use them so I stick with Sabian.

  • Zildjian is better than Sabian

  • It's a preference actually; both brands are great. I've been using Zildjian cymbals for 30 years, I bought some Sabian cymbals recently for my new kit and returned them within a month, I just didn't prefer their sound. Both are very good though.

  • ZILDJAN IS BETTER QUALITY AND MORE CHOICES

  • sabian and meinl

  • I say Paiste all way because i play heavy metal and sabian makes the loudest cymbals are aax and they are way tooo quiet and zildjian makes only z-customs for metal, theyre good, but too clangy. So, prefer paiste!

  • sabian sound way too metalic. and has a very limited variety of sounds. zildjian wins any day. but i would take meinl of both sabian and zildjian

  • I LIKE ALL THREE ZILDJIAN, SABIAN, AND PAISTE!

  • "post opinion below"

yes cause thats not gonna get people arguing

  • Sabian sabian sabian

  • I bought these cymbals from this dude. They weren't cheap, he charged me like 300$ for each one, but he said they were solid gold. They are some exotic brand called First Act. I haven't played them yet, has anyone played them, how are they?

  • @BubbleRapOwns Dude ur hilarious.

  • @BubbleRapOwns first act is beginner stuff they are the crappest outta them all id sue him

  • If you compare equivalent lines (i.e. Zildjian A or A Custom vs Sabian AAX, I think Zildjian has the upper hand. But then again, it is all about preference. I personally think that Meinl makes the best cymbals, but they're wayyyyy more expensive than Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, etc. Maybe you could say you get what you pay for?

  • Nothing sounds better than Paiste 2002's.

  • I'd take Sabian cymbals over zildjian but i prefer the paiste brand over the two of them anyway.

  • i like both i mix but if it was a poll i think it would be zildjian 60 sabian 40

  • Zildjian all the way. I haven't even had a ZBT crack on me, but the Sabian B8 Crash cracked twice. So maybe just the low grade Sabians suck... idk.

  • @ArcticTyLeR13 i cracked 3 zxt Crashes in 6 months, zildjian LOW PRICE crashes Suck HARD, but the high price zildjians pwn

  • theyre basically the same cymbal... two brothers made zildjian, then one brother left and started sabian. basically the same process, just different companies and slightly a different style

  • lol i use paiste. but yeah, Sabian's good. they're both good. why choose?

  • Saying weather or not Zildjian or Sabian is better is kind of like arguing over your favorite color, both of these brands are amazing hands down but it's all about the sound preference, and these two companies as wholes have very different sounding cymbals and lines, and it's all a matter of preference in sound as a drummer.

  • sabian is garbage

  • zildjian is way nicer, but are way more expensive, if you want really nice cymbal go with any zildjian custom. they can be pricey but they are sick sounding and last forever, ive had my custom ride for almost three years and there isnt a dent in it

  • zildjians all the way. their zbt or zxt's last a looong time

  • I profer sabian any day. Althoguh the only thing i have from sabian is a b8 18 inch china... my two crashes, ride, and hihat are zildjian zxt's. i used to be a zildjian person.

  • Sabian, all the way.

  • thumbs up for turkish style cymbals!

  • Sabian makes some nice stuff, but I gotta go with Zildjian; my Z-Custom 18" Projection crash sounds so good. ^^

  • i dont know.....i have a sabian high hat... but a zildjian ride.......

  • Sabian has a warmer Sound, Brighter Crashes, and More Dynamic effect cymbals, Sabian all the way.

  • Zildjian does deserve respect, however, Sabian is the same quality, and sound for much cheaper. Sabian is the best.

  • i dont play drums.... fuck >.<

  • I prefer Zildjian but any cymbal can have a sound that someone likes and it does not matter what brand it is.

  • meaning sabian,paiste, and zildjian

  • Honestly, there is no "best" cymbals. It mostly is preference. but i have all three companies on my set.

  • Sabian is better than zildjian, but zildjian's chinas sound better.

  • Paiste's are a rip off for the alloy they use, Sabians are THE BEST, meinl cymbals only look good, but I can't really state my opinion because I never see them at Guitar Center, Zildjian is a joke, they don't care about making quality cymbals anymore, that's why everything they have is machine-made. For me, it's Sabian, Paiste's sound good, but they are just wayyy too much, even though I have HHX's haha

  • I only like wuhan for there china's i have a pair of zildjian A custom 18 crash , and a Sabian hhx evolution hi hats so i say its a tie for me

  • Meinl

  • SABIAN!!!

  • meinl is the best!

  • Istanbul and dream

  • I prefer Sabian, but when it comes down to it, it depends on the money and sound you are looking for. I would have the entire Paragon series, if they werent 2,500 dollars. I have Sabian XS20 hats and a Sabian APX Crash I love them both, I also have a Zildjian ZBT ride which I love also. My advice for anyone in the world buying cymbals, when shopping around and testing them dont say: do you have a sabian cymbal that sounds like this. Buy by the sound not the brand.

  • it just depends what you have an ear for but if i had to choose it would have to be sabian paragons but thats just my opinion

  • Sabian is Zildjian quality made cheaper. Sabian over Zildjian any day.

  • @Suiax you're damn wrong, paiste and zildjan are best symbal brands... sabian it wasn't suppost to be mensioned in this video

  • Wuhan........haha lol

    Paiste

  • @RRandoMMDrummeR Wuhan? xD

might as well just take sheet metal and be like HEY GUYS I HAVE CYMBALS!

  • @Rockyrules21 yeah, I saw some Wuhan cymbals in a local music store the other day, and they aren't even circular :P

  • @Rockyrules21 Wuhan cymbals are completely hand-made from B20 bronze. They may not be the greatest cymbals in the world but they certainly are better than any of the entry-level stuff the more popular companies put out.

  • Meinl

  • Zildjian although both are amazing but it depends on tastes and type(zht...)

  • Zildjian ,nuff' said.

  • wow. The two companies owners are related, it just depends on who had more money. they are both great cymbal companies. with great cymbals.

  • I prefer Zildjian. I haven't found a Sabiasn cymbal i really like the sound of. Most Zildjians are brilliant to my ears.

  • Meinl, nough said!

  • If you guys weren't retards, you would know that:

1- Robert ZILDJIAN is the founder of SABIAN

2- There's not BEST BRAND, just the sound YOU like

  • SABIAN ITS THE BEST, zildjian its good to but paiste? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCLIIIIIIIIING SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS, i hate paiste its the worst cymbal in the world!!!!!!!

  • SABIAN (L)

  • Paiste...

  • I believe Sabian is better... although Zildjian has a cool name... :P

  • I'm O.K. with either brand (just so long as they're not sheet metal), but I'm more of a Zildjian guy. What about Hammerax Cymbals? They have some weird-ass (but really cool) products.

  • I think you can't really say which of the brands are better , because i think both (Sabian & Zildjian) are producing very good cymbals and the one prefers Sabian and the other one uses Zildjian. I for my own am prefering Meinl ! :)

  • MEINL

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a Zildjian guy. I'm biased since I've really only played Zildjians (I've played on drum kits that have Sabians a few times), but I love the quality I get out of my cymbals. Whichever company you pick is your preference, though, they're all good and bad for different things. Silly video/question.

  • Sabian Xs20's are the best cymbals i've heard

  • Sabian Xs20's are the best cymbal i've heard

  • Sabian Xs20!!!

  • Zildjian K customs

  • first act!!!!! joking naaa fucking paiste man!

  • They're pretty much the exact same thing...?

  • ZILDJIAN

  • from what i was told is that the owner's of both companies are brothers and both have the same recipe and technique for making them because its passed down to the son of each generation. long story short these two brothers got in a argument on who would run zildjian so one left an started sabian with the same technique passed down each generation.
