Jellyfish were\are a constant source of inspiration to loads of people all over the world. They just had that bit of magic that captured the imagination. They could do it all - over the top Glam-Pop, subtle ballads and whimsical wonderment.
The Sonic Executive Sessions have paid a fitting tribute to this band\song. AMAZING version of this tune. Awesome musicianship and vocals.
It's crazy I used to live in the alley, in my car, behind the building where this band had a huge purple, cat and the hat type, drawing thing. It was around 89 or so. It was right across from KTTV. Great music guys. I only discovered what you all sounded like just a couple years ago. I am sure you guys remember the Hotel Hollywood.
One of the best songs on the Sensory Lullabies album! Oh yes, what a privilege it was to be featured on this album! I will never forget oneday of it! Infact what a life changing experience all round!
Great great job. One thing, and it's just my humbhole opinion. It seemed there was little depth in the mastering.(no sense of space) But other than that, WoW! And I mean F#*%ng wow.
This to me is an amazing interpretation of what Jellyfish would have done with this song had they ever properly recorded it. SES have it totally nailed! Any real Jellyfisher can't but smile with gleeful glee on hearing this. Fantastic musicianship and pure imagination. Fab AND groovy - in that order.
.......loafpork I think that you are commenting on something you know absolutley nothing about. Such negativity blows my mind....why assume it was done with bad intentions when NOTHING could be further from the truth.
I appreciate that people are entitled to their opinion......but with this in mind surely Roger Manning is entitled to his.
For the people who enjoyed our hard, hard work on this project - thank you very, very much, we are the same kind of Jellyfish fans as you.

As a member of The Sonic Executive Sessions I would like to comment on some of the things written here.
We were delighted to be asked to cover "Hello" by Alan Heaton - executive producer of Sensory Lullabies. We made the decision to cover the song as Jellyfish might have, had they ever recorded it.
What people should try and understand is that it was done with the utmost respect for one of our favourite bands.
Cathoderoy - it seems that you don't even realise it is a Jellyfish Song.........
Excellent cover - you made superior choices in constructing the arrangement and even lyrics that were sorta ad-lib afaik! AWESOME. It's such a tribute to the band. The overly critical responses below, while typical for the internet, are mostly baffling and I suspect that most miss the point entirely: That this is actually an unfinished Jellyfish gem that you polished into something very finished-sounding AND very Jellyfish-esque. Again, Great work!
Or even listen to some of the sources Jellyfish were most influenced by, Queen, ELO, The Beatles, The Beach Boys 'Brian Wilson', Supertramp.
This band sounds canned to me, like something constructed by a producer who scouted a few music schools, and found some kids who were interested in the whole "Pet Sounds" movement. Close, but no cigar, sorry.
I actually think the partridge family and the monkeys were better. :)
Oh my god do I hate these guys!! It's people trying to emulate a band that's derived some of their sound from some obvious sources, but bands like Jellyfish add their own character, and they do it all so incredibly tastefully. These SES guys are directionless and have a singer that doesn't exactly know who he wants to emulate, so he has no character at all. I hope kids go out and buy the Jellyfish/Imperial Drag/Grays/Jason Falkner/Elliot Smith, etc. etc. stuff, 'cuz SES is just fluff .
I was impressed with Roger's response to hearing this song -- "They (SES) beat us at our own game!" :)
What an incredible honor it was to have a small roll, behind the scenes, in the making of "Sensory Lullabies." I'll never forget hearing this song for the first time -- saying it blew me away is an understatement! So lush and full, with perfect harmonies, these boys really captured the true essense of JELLYFISH. LOVE IT!
this sounds great..i used to listen to jellyfish when i was in 8th grede, that was a long long long time ago.. i am glad to see them and people who like them on u tube... this is the reason why i love youtube
Fantastic work, Art Institute folk - best power pop video ever ( with not a single discount for being a tribute band's cover)? Congrats all around - Jellyfish and power pop will be still be heard in nursing homes in 2040!

Perfect representation of what the band may have done in the studio. Intro harmonies are absolutely titties!

Nice job - too bad Jellyfish never recorded a third album. Perhaps we'd have their studio version. Anyway, fun video - great version of the song.
