funny that VW is so proud of their record, yet they wont let SSC test the aero at their track. the aero was only 11mph short of the bugatti super sport, and the bugatti had almost 2 more miles of straight track than the SSC, so its really a sign of ignorance to say that the SSC is a piece of trash.
No traction control, ABS or power steering, they say because they wanted to keep it a driver's car. I suspect the truth is that they couldn't afford the development costs.

no offence people but this is one typical american built car. humonguous v8 engine with massive power the rest is neglected in this case pr'ed as intentionally to give the car a responsive feel (whatever). personaly i think it is a lot cheaper to develop cars that way. usa has a lot of straight roads so give those copsters a little chase ;)

funny that VW is so proud of their record, yet they wont let SSC test the aero at their track. the aero was only 11mph short of the bugatti super sport, and the bugatti had almost 2 more miles of straight track than the SSC, so its really a sign of ignorance to say that the SSC is a piece of trash.

I'd much rather save up for a UA (Ultimate Aero) rather than spend a couple hundred thousand on an overpriced lambo.

But SSC started at 220 mph compared to Veyron (120 mph). Take account of braking distance too. The fact is SSC chose to achieve that speed at that track, no one else. SSC failed to even break record on 12 miles long straight road. Aero TT was nearly stripped out for record purpose.

@Dillonhippy SSC Ultimate Aero top recorded speed was 257mph which took the record over the standard Veyron which managed 253mph. Then Bugatti made the Veyron Super Sport which did 267mph to take back the record, although SSC is coming back with the Ultimate Aero 2 which is said to do 275mph. Also in the running is the Hennessey Venom GT which is in the 272-275mph range, and the Koenigsegg Agera R which is said can do 275mph. The Dagger GT is coming soon too- promises 300mph.

finally a supercar you finally drive without wasting even more and really the bugatti needs it's tires changed every 5,000 miles and that a $100,000 a tire and every 80,000 miles you need to fly a team from germany to reconstruct the body and that probably at least $500,000, summary if you want a badass,fast as hell,nice looking and good quality car, the ultimate aero is the choice to go with

The ford GT is better than the reventon, it's won le mans what does the riventon has under it's belt. The viper is soso, i could care less and the v10 audi r8 is quite amazing i'll give you that.
