  • No matter how flawed Nora & Frank were (especially Frank), I always thought Ken Russell & Roger Daltrey made you sympathize for them here. And Tommy still cares for them, and puts them together. A moving moment.

  • They couldnt make that any gayer. Just kidding I love daltrey no matter what he does

  • You can't buy this movie ANYWHERE.

    I want it so much!

  • @RnSTutorials go to amazon .com

    to get the movie

  • OMG. Be still my heart and other things. Forgot how good he looked in those days. OMG. Eye candy like f*ing creme brulee. OMG!

  • The Who is to Rock what Mozart is to Classical.

  • Daltry has a great voice. Didn't have the show appeal of Jagger, or the ultra coolness factor of Morrison, and he obviously wasn't a Beatle. But, in any other era, he would've likely stood out as The Awesome Frontman.

  • To hell with trans human death technology in the name of GOD. I hope all we see soon.. the only thing about a cross that saves is what lives inside us for love. Never does a church dogma rule us. Watch and see the trashed world they created survive beyond them, as they fade away.

  • @WRI2012 this is inspiring. Thanks for sharing your thought.

  • Fabulous!....straight to my Playlist!! - Thanks 'Wagnertrindade'

  • Ken+

  • Shit....Daltrey hits some killer vocal notes in this song...Fucking amazing. Great movie, great band. PERIOD!

  • is the guy with the long curly hair in this supposed to be tommy?

  • @cenrockon01 Yes he is Roger Daltrey ( the lead singer of the who). He played the character Tommy in the movie Tommy based off of the famous The Who album Tommy.

  • @cenrockon01 watch the whole movie and yes Rodger is playing Tommy.

  • I can never tell, is he saying "hear me" or "heal me"?

  • Yes he was arrested and placed on the sex register for five years,Townshend also accepted a caution from the police,it was 2003.

  • Love how one verse of Listening To Me Roger is standing under a waterfall and the next verse his har is completely dry.

  • great

  • omg

  • I have to say I think seeing this movie and hearing the album significantly changed my life, just a litle bit. It's no wonder that my parents and my sister also love this.

  • quite symbolic dead soldiers with that "silly" hippie, that foolish child requesting them to "feel".

  • esse som é d + foi um previlegio meu fazer parte desta epoka e ter kurtido grrandes amores ...............!!!!

  • amo d + esse som já fikei noites e noites kurtindo esse som pensando em alguem hummmmmmmmm delicia ....!!!

  • beginning bit of the song was very sad, but then he learned to let go of his mother and discovered something even more amazing.

  • Awesome no doubt

  • bellissimo!!!!

  • one word to describe Roger: best

one word to describe Pete: best

one word to describe this song: EPIC!

  • I was named after Tommy. To this day, I've always loved the Who.

  • @bomrdude Holy SHIT Dude, you're name is Frank ?!

  • @bomrdude Join the club! :D

  • saw this back in 75 when it was released at eleven years old.of course given its rating i was to young but i still got in to see it.Much of the story was over my head at that age but that didnt matter to me it was the music that drew me to see it.i didnt know that until i had went another twice to see it.i have it on dvd but its not the same experience as the cinema.hopefully i will see it again on the big screen one day

  • Great movie about the struggle between what we are and what we percieve ourselves to be.

  • Strange, I also heard always 'heal me'!

    Is is still meaningful.

  • @drakepit - It IS "heal me".

  • WOW!! This is the best video I have seen on Y/T in a long time!! WAY TO GO!!

  • I love the film, I love the song's.... quality :)

  • Roger Daltrey not only can sing full blast in a waterfall, he can step out from under it with dry hair!

Jokes aside, I loved this song and movie.

  • dont catch your hair on fire :3

  • dedication: class of 1976 USA mark: Springfield, Missouri post: outward 360 degrees from center!

  • Im kinda confused by the ending of this movie. Could someoen help me? I mean its obvious hes torn up bout losing his mother, but after he lays his mother down with his step-dad he seems all giddy singing towards the end, whats wit that?

  • lolz!

  • TITANIC IS BETTER THAN AVATAR. THAT IS A FACT. HOWEVER, AVATAR HAS MADE $940 MILLION MORE THAN TITANIC. WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO CHANGE THIS. TITANIC IS BEING RE-RELEASED INTO CINEMAS IN 3D NEXT YEAR TO CELEBRATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SINKING OF TITANIC. IF EVERYONE GOES TO SEE IT, THEN TITANIC WILL RECLAIM IT'S CORRECT POSITION AS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FILM OF ALL TIME. TELL ALL OF YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO GET OUT AND GO TO SEE IT. ALSO, PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE.

  • @2Hard2Di3 Titantic is equally shit, bro.

  • with a bod like that better without shirts:)

  • The best film I've never seen

  • Agreed......Yeah so if I post to Facebook can they handle????

  • Goddamit , I had forgotten how cool Daltrey was here. Damn.

  • So your mother dies, and the first thing you do is go for a swim, and then a hike, to dramatically end just as the sun begins to rise over the horizion? EPIC!

  • sun's like a giant pinball

  • 20 people don't see or feel the force of The Who...

  • I wanna go see him SOOOO BADLY.... If only I had money....

  • One of the most moving experiences of my youth were these closing scenes from "Tommy" Wonderful to be able to recapture these moments watching this awesome clip. Thank you so much

  • THAT´S GOOD

  • @TheDilligan I'm going in September! So excited.

  • Ya know hes doing a Tommy tour this year... YA GUYS BETTER CHECK IT OUT!

  • @TheDilligan i would go, but he's playing at a casino. i'm not 21. : (

  • The beginning part, in my opinion, is the saddest scene in the movie. Poor Tommy, he doesn't have any parents now

  • SEE ME、FEEL ME、TOUCH ME、HEAL ME~~ザ・フー"トミー"の感動!

  • ROGER IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING SEXXXXXXXXXYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

  • This is strong stuff! What a hell happend to british music industry? :(

  • Yes, but what does it all mean? There is no meaningful message, no vision for life and death. Where is the content?

  • ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFE!!!!!!!!

  • ON PEUT VOIR AUTRE CHOSE QUE LES CHEVEUX DE ROGER DANS CE MOMENT DU FILM TOMMY !!!!!

  • I thought his hair was gonna catch on fire at 1:10, i was like OH NO NOT ROGERS BEAUTIFUL HAIRRR !!! (:

  • hot :)

  • Most epic ending EVER!

  • Tommy. Yes!

  • This is my favourite clip from the whole movie :)

  • rogers hair was curly when wet even

  • lean sobre la gira de roger en nuestro sitio en español!

  • Related Video : How to see through clothing

    nicely done youtube.

  • bet hes freezing his bollocks off lol

  • @Davejimjr Men were tougher back then.

  • @boanerges144 yes i can see specially that haircut :D

  • I'm surprised his hair didn't catch fire when running though those flames....

  • @tl124 hes Roger Daltrey. I'm pretty sure that fire is smart enough not to fuck with him.

  • this makes me feel happy when I am sad

  • The who is so awesome they were actually able to make the sun rise again during the middle of the day.

  • one thing i love about this version is thers alot of guitar in the backing music between verses. In their live performances its vry toned down altho im sure townsend could play those riffs if he chose to.

  • Wow Daltrey's voice sounded so much better back then. He's totally lost it.

  • @movieswithpopcorn he's a lot older now. you need to make allowances for that.

  • The opening scene brought a tear to my eye-- a child's anguish in the denial stage of grief for his dead mother. The video is a touching artistic expression of the pain and struggle associated with personal growth on the road to maturity - clinging, pleading, destroying, exploring, re-discovering, accepting, and finally celebrating the fruits of spiritual labor. I had always thought the lyric was "Heal me," but I think this movie version says, "Hear me." And so it goes.

  • @bhincc4 It's both hear me, touch me, see me, heal me.

  • @bhincc4 I love it when someone clearly understands this often misunderstood masterpiece of a movie.

  • @bhincc4 A Vonnegut reader, no?

  • @bhincc4 when tommy's talk to his dead mom he is saying "hear me." but as he's running through the burning destruction, he begins to sing "heal me, heal... me..."

  • Well.. Roger hiking the scottish higlands! I want to go home! No land is more beautiful! No wonder the Scotts fought so hard for FREEDOM!

  • @jbeng1953 Its not the Highlands mate, its the Lake District. Derwent Water is plain to see (3.37).

  • 5.15 of quadraphenia superb,god i feel old lol

  • my grandparents love this song, my grandpa recently had heart surgery and when they finished, he sung this song. i love you papa!

  • simply the best...

  • Woof....

  • This was/is the best version I've ever heard!!! Downloaded to my ipod and phone...

  • Why is "How to see through clothing" video in Suggestions?

  • Tommy is one of those movies that you have to really think to understand. That's why I love it so much!

  • @Iluvthosetightp you'r right!!!!!!

  • It's a very sad end :( and i realise i am born 50 years to late! I love the who! It is much better than the stupid songs who stand in the hitlist!

  • 3:17 why's he smiling? his parents have just been killed!!

  • @coolcourky 3:10 sorry

  • @coolcourky Yeah... He smiles a lot...

  • @coolcourky him climbing the mountain is a test of self-redemption. He proved himself to himself, and he's proud, thus the smiling.

  • Perfection...RD just keeps getting better!

  • You'd have to be dead inside to not like this.

  • @omgbetch amen

  • There will never be this kind of rock and roll ever again.

  • Roger, I wanna touch you!!!!!

  • during the "listening to you" part there's a high voice that's very faint . dare i say cowbellesque? anyway, is that ann margret? and yes i gave it another listen and it's NOT my mom, so.....

  • @xanfus yes, that was Ann Margaret

  • @xanfus

    yes, that was Ann Margaret

  • my first time i was listening to this song when i was nine years old, m still listening, thanks...

  • Essa é relembrar aquela propaganda da APAE nos anos 80 e 90. Linda!!!

  • doesn't it bother anyone else that the lyrics were changed from "heal me" to "hear me"? It always bothers the hell out of me whenever I watch the movie.

  • Comment removed

  • 19 people are deaf dumb and blind.

It really does bring tears of joy. Very few songs can do that.

  • After watching this, hearing this song just makes me wanna.... cry tears of.. joy.

    <3

  • I plan to tatoo "See me, Feel me, Touch me, Heal me on my skin...

  • @espanaguy , good idea, tu es!!!

  • @zagatoF1 @zagatoF1 Thx ! I DID IT !!! Onto my right arm ! :D I love it !!! :D

  • I'm 13 years old... and I think this film's a flipping masterpiece.

  • @BlackMagnumFilms , you´r right...

  • what is the tune playing at the beginning of the video? anyone????

  • @TheRage789 "We're Not Gonna Take It" has just finished and it's going into "See Me Feel Me".

  • I miss the 70's, this new generation couldn't make music this meaningful if their lives depended on it.

  • @velvetQueen699999 Well dont blame us.....Your Generation started that crap ( R&B )

  • @velvetQueen699999 Your not listening to the right bands than

  • @velvetQueen699999 But there's actually some good bands out there like 30 Seconds to Mars :)

  • @velvetQueen699999 DAMN KIDS AND THEIR NEW-FANGLED ROCK MUSIC. BACK IN MY DAY WE LISTENED TO REAL MUSIC

  • @velvetQueen699999 i appreciate music from 60's till now and i bet alot of music made nowadays is meaningful for many people :) depends what genre you like maybe...

i would love to see Queen live... or Michael Jackson sigh....

  • @velvetQueen699999 I could! If I could sing XD

  • @coalb389 then play an instrument. there are many guitarists so how about bass. ull have John Deacon, John Entwistle, Paul McCartney, Noel Redding, and John P. Jones to inspire you

  • @iamobeliskquake That's not a bad idea. The only problem would be, If i wanted to be in a band, where would i find anyone my age that likes classic rock as much as i do?

  • @coalb389 an arcade is ur best bet. I luckily managed to get a few people in class to become Led Zeppelin fans.

  • @velvetQueen699999 - Your looking in the worng places m8 ;) ...in no way dissing the genius of this film or The Who's career but there is an army of people out there with alot of meaningful messages, its just they'll never make it to the Pop Charts ...and thats only because of the BS people accept as 'good music'.

To put it simple; meaningful music doesnt sell. (or atleast sell well).

Check out my favs and playlists if you want some 'meaningful' links ;)

  • @velvetQueen699999 Challenge accepted. ;-)

  • @velvetQueen699999 Mumford and Sons

    This is rock.

  • Roger found himself finally. :)

  • the last scene reminds me of Jesus Christ Superstar.

    :D

  • 17 jears old and this musical ( ken russell i think?) was for me a sensation

und today it is it !!!!!

  • The end of Tommy! The Who has revenge on Led Zeppelin. Proving they are Rock Gods Almighty in a trinity with the Beatles and Pink Floyd!

  • Escuchandote a ty ,tengo la música. Mirandote a ti , siento el calor. Después que me subo a la montaña. Me entusiasmo a tus pies! Justo detrás de ti ,veo a millones. Por lo que veo, la gloria. de ty tengo opiniones. de ty tengo la historia. Escuchandote a ty, tengo la música. Mirandote a ti , siento el calor. Después que me subo a la montaña. Me entusiasmo a tus pies!

  • my dead brother and i when we were little went to see this movie, later in my teens i suffered from mental illness, feeling unwanted and neglected, hated,i stopped talking for a year, but nobody noticed, they continued to dispise my presence, this song is the anger i still feel for them, selfish ugly so called humans

  • @angelcomet1 I'm glad that you found your voice again, you are not alone.

  • In tears...

  • In my opinion, he tried to be bigger than Jesus. And the final song of the album is written to Jesus, so he failed..

  • @Morcillae Holy shit that make so much sense.

  • In my opinion, he tried to be bigger than Jesus. And the final song of the album is written to Jesus, so he failed.

  • Love this movie~ My little interpritation to it is it seems alot like the story of jesus, Tommy finds enlightement and wants others to find it too, though in the end his followers betraying and killing him, eventually returning to his spot of birth in the mountains and finding god. good old religion refrences eh :P

  • I agree, I loved the movie in the 70's, the time it was made and especially this song. I could hear it a million times and am glad that it was posted

  • Anybody know where the waterfall is... I think I know it in Cornwall but not sure...

  • rogers hair is so sophisticated that it drys itself after being washed down by a water fall 2:52 - 3:01

  • @mikuz007 Time lapse.......I can only assume it took him a while to get to the mountain and by then it had dried! His hair is gorgeous.

  • He's Roger Daltrey, he can do whatever he wants ;)
