-The Canes are one of the 14 teams that plays in front of capacity crowds. I.E. the Canes aren't moving any time soon.
-Most late Playoff series are determined by the healthier team. This happens all the time.

-The Canes are one of the 14 teams that plays in front of capacity crowds. I.E. the Canes aren't moving any time soon.
-Most late Playoff series are determined by the healthier team. This happens all the time.
-I used to like Buffalo a lot. After the series, I had to rethink though. Some of you Buffalo fans have given me every reason to hate them with your constant bitching and asshole-ish attitudes. It's a fucking game, just move on. You're better than that.

We won the cup last season. After that, the Oilers came in 2nd. The Canes of course got to dance around with our cup, but only because they didn't play the best team - and as you know... THE BEST TEAM ALWAYS WINS THE TITLE. And so, the Buffalo Sabres are the 2006 Stanley Cup Champions.

Sorry SlugsPoint and other Slugs fans, but you didn't win the game. Even though the scoreboard says you won, it was only because of injuries. Carolina was missing four of its players. Kaberle, Stillman, Wesley, and Ladd are the ones I counted. Letowski was out too, but he's been a healthy scratch for a game so I didn't count him.

Well if you want to talk about injuries, Buffalo only got to the conference finals because Hasek was out. Look at the regular season and how Hasek pawned the Slugs (they were still the Sabres then). Buffalo got what it deserved. Easy come, easy go.

He wasn't injured when he and the Sens pawned Buffalo in the regular season. Buffalo only got by the Sens in the playoffs due to injuries. And if you don't like a "sob story" you should stop complaining about the injuries of the team formerly known as the Sabres.

We already beat the Canes in 7 games... Never forget, with a division crown on the line at home the last game of the season, the Canes lost to the Sabres 5-0. That, plus our three wins despite starting our farm team defense is a series win.
Enjoy your tarnished cup... you'll never know if you could have beaten the best... even the Oilers lost thier starting goalie against you... personally, I would never want to "win" a championship under those circumstances

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what people will remember 65 years from now when our Canes' Cup ring gets retired in the Hall of Fame...
In other words, WHATEVER!!!! Would YOU have any sympathy for us if YOUR team had won the Cup after all OUR players got hurt? I doubt that very highly. Carolina beat all comers. The Cup, the banner and the glory is ours. Stop whining and win something.

There is an old saying...a win is a win and a loss is a loss...yeah maybe it would have been nicer to beat healthy teams, but they still won and you still lost...injury is part of the game...you think the sabres are the first team to be hampered by injury in the postseason? Well they aren't and they won't be the last either. Fact is there is no room on the cup for second place, and no one remembers who finished second...just who won.

So tell yourself that you won, insult the canes as much as you want, but in 65 years, the only thing people will see is their name on the cup for the 05-06 season not yours...if you want some revenge, then win this year, but even a season series sweep doesn't get that bitter taste out of your mouth because in the end that doesn't matter, only the cup does and you for whatever reason the sabres didn't hoist it last year, the canes did.
