@underwatercookie its like.. ice cap zone from Sonic 3, only its an OC Remix edition, you can get it off their website.. but they'll probably have like 4 versions of it
I have ZM-NC2000 and undervolting decreased my temperature more than Zalman. This mod depends on notebook, but air cools down whole notebook, so it is not just about getting air into vents. Also it is better to turn it around so front would be in back, since most notebooks are overheating in back and air vents are there as well.
my dell inspiron 1525 regulerly hits 80s C and the shuts down, the fans are on the bottom so i cant keep it on aything flat, you think this thing will help?
great...except for the fact that you're pushing focused air into the fans that are trying to push air out...more than likely making it harder to exhaust the air...
anyone tried using a zalman with this mod and done and temperature test, then done the same temperature test without the mod and compared? that would be interesting
also, nice song - i recognized it immediately, a remix of ice cap zone from sonic the hedgehog 3. memories :)
obviously you have not seen the world's fastest notebooks (most of which are by Clevo). Alienware used to carry Clevo's until they moved onto Arima and Quanta.
That notebook of mine is a Clevo D900K (aka. Sager NP9750, Alienware m7700a).
The current high-end Clevo D900F (aka. Sager NP9280) with desktop Core i7 has four fan placements as well.
My Clevo D901C (aka. Sager 9262) with Q6600 (I know I need to upgrade to the Q9650) has four fan on the bottom as well (they use the same chasis). Plus, my 3 hard drives get pretty hot. CLEVO RULEZ!!!
damn....great idea...I have to try this with my N50Vn Asus because I just DON'T notice any difference with Zallman 2000 or not right now, because my N50Vn's vents are randomly placed and are quite tight...
hey i just got the nc2000 today. it looks great. but the only thing is that it doesnt cool my laptop as much as i expected. When i play games without it it would go up to 60C but with the chill mat it went down by like 1-2Cs... do u have any tips for cooling other than the custom way?
how well do you think this cooler would work on my dell inspiron 1525, im asking cuz the cooling fan on the dell is located kinda high up on the bottom of the laptop and the zalman looks as if the vent where the air comes out of is located closer to the bottom.
Why not you just open all the cover below and just put the computer on the fan?
iHatePole 4 months ago
nonsense - you are killing the fan....

only problem, the point of the metal bottom is for heat conduction. Cardboard is not a good heat conductor lol

will my 18"4 inch laptop fit on a cooler like that???
kohrak123 1 year ago
yes it would.
I have tested it on the fastest 18.4" gaming notebooks... by Clevo.

can't you just remove the bottom plate and put it on the notebook cooler ?
HenkSpankK 1 year ago
the design of the notebook cooler wont allow that... I dismantled it the first day I got it to check it out.
its a very proprietary design that makes it efficient if the cooler is not taken apart.

you are mistaken. 99% of notebook on the market intake air from the bottom and exhausts the hot air on the back/sides.

Umm, my intakes are at the bottom of my notebook. So yeah, you're mistaken taintedsoul17

My laptop has only 1 fan. Only 1 opening at the bottom. This one has 5. How is this possible? Even alienware don't have 5 openings.
