Nice job. Take it to the next level though. Stop saying ahhhh , Clearance on request means stand by so stop saying both together, he called you for a clearance so don't ask if hes ready to copy. He called for it. Why wouldn't he be.
Pretty darn good for 13 years old. The US airspace system beholds ATC to a lot of useless, needless confusing, VHF-wasting info in the IFR clearance and approach phases. In Canada, when a pilot files a RNAV STAR fp, ATC assumes are RNAV-equipped. A lot of ATC-pilot interaction is mutual faith/assumption.
not trying to be critical but you did say the alt, just didn't catch it the first time, my apologies. I usually issue the current alt setting before taxi instructions. Also I heard you say "Taxi to" that term isn't used anymore. Just some helpful advise, its ie: Rwy 22R via E2 , E , E1. The "taxi to"phrase was dropped about 6 months ago along with the position and hold, not that I heard you say position and hold but just so you know. It sounds more professional when you use correct phraseol
That was a good clearance delivery, I am also a vatsim controller at ZHUARTCC (Houston). I'm not telling you how to do your messages but I typically add the current altimeter setting in with the readback. Its not required but I guess it's my way of doing it.
I'm working on major ground for KIAH then once I get that, I'll be working on tower. Good job!
Well I think there is no "winds" information at 0:50,controller says "expect FL280 10mins after".But answer of your question,VATSIM using a common weather data source both side ATC/pilots.This datas updates every15 minutes(30mins delays of real life).ATC radars just see winds and diection but pilot side process thats data with some weather programs freeware or payware (paywares much better for realism).Every pilot must be filled a valid flightplan which can be seen by ATC
ok i just downloaded VRC and i need help figuring it out.. as well as audio stuff. can you tell me like everything you know about it? i havent started my training thing with miami ARTCC yet or whatever.. im a real pilot. help me out? :)
Good job bro, just a few nitpicks. You might want to learn your airports more, as saying "Bravo November Alpha" isn't as good as saying "Cleared to the Nashville airport via blah blah blah" and the departure frequency isn't " blah blah blah decimal blah" it's "blah blah blah POINT blah". Good job though bro :) I'm a controller in training myself.
I love saying "See Ya!" when switching frequencies! So much fun! Only a few times have they actually said "See Ya!" back though :( Great video I need to fly to Columbus more so I can hear you!
@boeing4100 This is vatsim, A private server for any Flight simulator. This is the place for most realistic flights to occur. Im an ATC in Canada in Vatsim.
from a pilot on vatsim you did a great job. one thing i hate is some controllers get an attitute if you mess up just a little bit. im a real world pilot as well and even i still screw up from time to time.
i'm 13, and i can Use The ATC Thingy like u do, :D I yust Started on VATSIM Today ^^ I Flew 2 Routes.. with No Errors.. Anyhow u do AWESOME ur better than me, xD anyhow, have fun bro...u still doin' this??? and What Session u on??
I also get a bit PO'ed when kids like you can do all that and i cant even make simple clearance's to land or take off without sounding like a complete amateur lol
By the way mike would you rather become a pilot or air traffic controller considering how much controlling you do on VATSIM?
@alex2mitch "Americans for ya"? Oh sorry, its not like Americans were the first to fly a real airplane? It's also not like we have the best Air Traffic Controllers the world has to offer, and the best pilots in the world. So, English people for ya :L
@AirMayrVA Yes thats what I thought.. Mock the british all you like but what can I say? We evented Concorde and the americans tried stealing the idea.. :L proves my point..
@alex2mitch Im S3, NY_APP, Brian is a C1, KC_CTR, and I can assure you, that this is the correct phraseology for FAA, please, lets not start anything here, but dont tell me I am controlling wrong when you dont control in the USA and are apperently unaware with our procedures.
@NWA97 I don't recall saying you were controlling wrong? build the facts up before prejudging, otherwise when it comes to it you look like a moron accusing someone with no evidence.. I also find it weird within the space of 10months you've gone from an S1 to an S3/C1.. strange.
@alex2mitch yes you can,"Radar vectors" in a clearance is an ATC term that is used when an aircraft is not on a SID, so even if there is no radar on, the pilot must get himself to his first waypoint. this is considered a VATSIM-ism because in the real world, there is a radar position on, however i can assure you that this is correct for VATSIM and is for the most part accurate per real world standards.
@airplanecrazy1989, Nope you'll find their are GND controllers on a at an airfield and no higher ATC(TWR,APP ect) because You have to be trained for each position. #Sometimes theres more S1's than S2's in divisions.
what facility do you often work? i reccomend Allentown. Bussiest minor airport. Im probably now going to be on for a while because the servers hate me. Whats your name?

@kuitwer The ATM and DATM at ZDV on VATSIM have a cow if you say decimal. I think it does sound better though.
