I adopted them on the website, then I went to the zoo (with the tickets you get by adopting an animal) and I saw them eating and had a chat with the guy feeding them.

It's so sweet :) They're lovely animals.

It's believed that Aarvarks are related to Elephants, which are falsely presumed to be related to the African Hyrax. The Aardvark is a mostly nocturnal animal, feeding on ants during the winter months, and termites during the summer. The create a new hole every night to feed at and rest in, in fact the only time an Aardvark stays in its home for more than 24 hours is during the pregnancy and baby raising stages of its life. They are extremely elusive, so seeing one is a rare prize for tourist
