I watched this right after seeing a few stories narrated by George Carlin, and all I could think of at first was "It's a near hit! A collision is a near miss!"
@willow232 Excuse me? This story was written by the son of the creator of Thomas, and was merely adapted into an animation made with Trainz. How is that ruining your childhood? If you thought this was bad, then take a look at the actual show now, THEN tell me which is worse. ;)
Reminds me of Ringo-era Thomas. It's reaaaallly weird watching this, because I'm not personally interested anymore haha, but I had to see what you did since it's very good.
im 18 and i still love to watch these after a hard day of work in college. watching these shows really take me back even though im 10 hours away from home. thank you
you did well, I think^^ I enjoy watching these stories and it feels authentic which is much better than most other fan made stories I've seen^^ love this series^^
I think it's called a near miss because it's another way of saying there NEARly was an accident, but the accident that was about to happen was MISSed just in time
@nintendoalien479 Hahaha, no. With the books, there is a few years between "Old Iron" and "Thomas Comes To Breakfast". The child could have grown up in that time, and been hired (although why The Fat Controller would hire someone with that record is beyond me). Then again, Skarloey's railway has little girls cleaning the engines, so why not have children lighting fires :P
Exactly what Thomas should be, with a bit of railway knowledge, Thomas doesn't have to be as educational and repetetive as it was 2 years ago to captivate children
What I love most is that this story has a real Awdry-esque feel to it and it's about railways! Far better than the rubbish being pumped out by HiT entertainment.
That was awesome TomTank, nearly had me on the edge of my seat smiling when I heard the steam coming out of Henry's piston ever so slowly. This would have made a great season 2 or 3 episode of the classic TV series.
I think some of the Fat Controllers staff put safety first right after everything else XD I can't believe the firelighter tried to drive a steam engine that he clearly knew nothing about; he's just as bad as the naughty boys that started James in "old Iron" though in their case the movement was almost instant. Great work once again.
Pretty cool, I lied the absence of music in the shed letting the slow screen transitions create the atmosphere, brilliantly done mate. The shot of the cylinder getting abit of steam and Henrys face changes also worked well.

Cool! This certainly is Retro Thomas!
P.S, settle a bet; is Henry an A3 or a Black Five?
Lisavinny 7 months ago
@Lisavinny I always thought and told he is a Black Five. an A3 has a trailing set of wheels. Black Fives do not. and different makers.
