I guess that's why it's called Taking Woodstock...it wasn't intended to be a documentary or a film 'about' the event....just a story based on events surrounding this cultural phenomenon that happened in 1969

wow i almost didn't recoginzed jonathan at first cause he looked so different. i wasn't so sure about this movie but now that i know jonathan is in it i might go see it or at least rent on dvd. first lea michele on glee and now jonathan in woodstock can't wait to see who's next, i swear spring awakening has the most talented group of young people on and i can't wait to see what else they can do.

yes, it was an amazing time but unfotunately this movie only captured about 15 min of the festival... THIS MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE. DO NOT WATCH IT!!!

Why can't the Michael Lang determine if another Woodstock can take place depending on whether Taking Woodstock is a box office success. Wouldn't that be enough revenue and sponsorship? It may not be, but it's an interesting concept.

Use the payoff from Taking Woodstock to produce another Woodstock event.

Nah they all were up to going it's just at that time Morrison had his nervous breakdown after the whole Miami thing telling the crowd their slaves. And so he was paranoid about going for getting shot like goatboy420 said. But John Densmore(SP?) went and he was on film. That's the only Doors member who showed.
