Either way, both of the symbols are/were used to represent the sun.

@thaares It's the Black Sun. Some people refers it to neonazism, because they used it the decoration of the castle the ss used, in the generals room. But it's older. In alchemy, it's the symbol of the death of the soul in order to be reborn to the true self. It is also an ancient symbol used by some germanic tribes. If you saw it in a church, that could mean an old mason's guild could have worked in that building, they usually passed on some esoteric knowledge about alchemy.

And what is interesting church is located on top of the hill which used to be city graveyard (since roman time until middle of 20th century), now it is a park and only that church and pavilion remains which is exactly in the middle of park (graveyard). I think there is more than meets the eye in that place, and pavilion was buildt in 1826, neoclassical style
