Watch that and go to about a minute and listen! This was BEFORE The Last Time Tour commenced. If you were too lazy to return your tickets because you actually thought it was the last time, blame yourself, not John.
John Farnham hasn't embarked on a major tour since 'the Last Time'. But even if he had, would I spent all this time and energy on uploading videos about something that is quite trivial? Says more about you than JF mate. And in a way, all the nay-sayers have 'punished' him enough with all this p*ss taking about it in Australia. Would be nice if you could let this go like a man, and put all this energy into promoting someone who you DO LIKE.
If anyone at The Last Time shows bothered to read the progam John's personal message states that he was not retiring & would continue to make albums but only tour on a smaller scale. The An Evening With John Farnham special that aired on CH7 at the time also had him saying quite openly the same statement. That was broadcast nationally, as was the Last Time Concert where he said it quite clearly again. I saw The Last Time tour twice & he said it at both shows also. So check your facts.

Not sure if you saw his interview on the Today show yesterday morning when John was interviewed about his upcoming album and tour but he said that when he recorded the Last Time song it was a bit of joke as the songs saids This could be the last time I don't know as it was going to be the last time he'd play at large venues and sadly as John said no one go the joke just like u didn't but he said again he was never retiring only playing smaller venues as he loves doing what he does.

They said it was his last album and tour - but they knew the Farnham industry was not closing its doors. I guess my reason for 'knowing' this is the ever so slight amount of time that passed before he was back on stage. About 14 months after his 'final' show he was back for a series of concerts. That's not a change of mind . . .
14 months later he was doing shows with Tom Jones. Whereas the purpose of the last time was the final time he would be performing massive scale shows on his own accord.. performing with Tom Jones was not on his own accord. Think of it this way. They are freely available. The argument ISNT that he performed again shortly after. It was that The Last Time was the last time the major venues were being done ON HIS OWN! Tom Jones doesnt count as a solo tour.

Actually his argument is based upon that there are people out there who do much worse things, yet they don't seem to get a mention on your show.. I mean come on.. Lindsay Lohan, repeated parole violations. Britney Spears, announced a world wide tour, charging in excess of over 300 bucks for tickets, then half way through the tour, she announced that the concert was lip synched and that all she was doing was moving around on stage.
The purpose of the Last Time was plain and simple from the start. If you feel you were duped into paying for tickets for a concert that was not actually going to be a final time, then I suggest you are a moron for not getting a refund. Because it was clear and simple.

I have never known anyone to give up what they love most easy. Trades never give up on there trade, they always say the will put down there tools but never will until age gets to them. There was a bit of media incredulity when John announced his 'Live by demand' tour after his 'Last time' tour, but it seems as though it's just become accepted that he got away with it. I was also a fan before, but can't take the man seriously anymore. Maybe his next tour can be the 'No, really.. this is the last time - trust me' tour.

I think it is his personal dislike for John Farnham that is fuelling all these videos. Same as it is my personal like of him that is trying (not successfully) to make him understand that he is getting it wrong. I believe there was a segment on Today Tonight where one person complained to the ACCC after John paired with Tom Jones, however the matter was thrown out of courst on the basis that John never said anything about a final retirement. Only minorities seem to have an issue with it.
@Lukasava I love much of Farnham's music and his Aussie attitude has made me smile plenty of times. But he clearly has a slippery side. This is evidenced by the fact that he went on stage and "cleared up" his defintiion of "Last Time" after all the tickets were sold. It's so very deceptive.

If anyone at The Last Time shows bothered to read the progam John's personal message states that he was not retiring & would continue to make albums but only tour on a smaller scale. The An Evening With John Farnham special that aired on CH7 at the time also had him saying quite openly the same statement. That was broadcast nationally, as was the Last Time Concert where he said it quite clearly again. I saw The Last Time tour twice & he said it at both shows also. So check your facts.

Not sure if you saw his interview on the Today show yesterday morning when John was interviewed about his upcoming album and tour but he said that when he recorded the Last Time song it was a bit of joke as the songs saids This could be the last time I don't know as it was going to be the last time he'd play at large venues and sadly as John said no one go the joke just like u didn't but he said again he was never retiring only playing smaller venues as he loves doing what he does.

They said it was his last album and tour - but they knew the Farnham industry was not closing its doors. I guess my reason for 'knowing' this is the ever so slight amount of time that passed before he was back on stage. About 14 months after his 'final' show he was back for a series of concerts. That's not a change of mind . . .

They are freely available. The argument ISNT that he performed again shortly after. It was that The Last Time was the last time the major venues were being done ON HIS OWN! Tom Jones doesnt count as a solo tour.

Britney Spears, announced a world wide tour, charging in excess of over 300 bucks for tickets, then half way through the tour, she announced that the concert was lip synched and that all she was doing was moving around on stage.

Get with the facts after John did has Last Time tour and had a break he realsed he was missing doing what he does best in singing and performing LIVE and there where still thousands of people wanting to see and hear him continue to perform so he kept going. He may have said things that made you think he was stopping for good but he also said in theat last time tour that he is not retiring so there you go he's not stopping yet. So leave him alone.

I have never known anyone to give up what they love most easy. Trades never give up on there trade, they always say the will put down there tools but never will until age gets to them. So okay his retired but probably will never give up music so what. so ok think of this what is one thing you will never give up until age gets to you! I saw him last year in his live by demand tour and just like Trades he loves what he did and dose for a living!

On behalf of the thousands out here who do feel like John ripped alot of people off and acted in an un-Australian way, thanks for putting the issue out there. There was a bit of media incredulity when John announced his 'Live by demand' tour after his 'Last time' tour, but it seems as though it's just become accepted that he got away with it. I was also a fan before, but can't take the man seriously anymore. Maybe his next tour can be the 'No, really.. this is the last time - trust me' tour.

I think it is his personal dislike for John Farnham that is fuelling all these videos. Same as it is my personal like of him that is trying (not successfully) to make him understand that he is getting it wrong. I believe there was a segment on Today Tonight where one person complained to the ACCC after John paired with Tom Jones, however the matter was thrown out of courst on the basis that John never said anything about a final retirement. Only minorities seem to have an issue with it.

@Lukasava I love much of Farnham's music and his Aussie attitude has made me smile plenty of times. But he clearly has a slippery side. This is evidenced by the fact that he went on stage and "cleared up" his defintiion of "Last Time" after all the tickets were sold. It's so very deceptive.

You are technically correct - he never announced final retirement. But he did throw the word "retire" around and said, blatantly, "this is the last chance you'll get" with regards to his concerts. How can you not see this was all a very calculated, slimey, un-Australian exercise?
