  • Wow this is truly a memorable and great throwback! um i would sooo love to dedicate this song to my fave group mindless behavior. :) i loooooooooooooooove yall so very much! (a flirty grin slowly crosses my face) ;)

  • this came out back in the day when the only thing worse than a pimp, was a pedophile. now, a pimp is supposed to be a good thing? ladies, ladies, ladies. get y'all shit together.

  • all the slow jamz.

  • Everything gets better with time.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG,SOMETIMES I WONDER WHERE DID MY HUSBAND AND I GO WRONG.

  • I'am so glad I'm SINGLE, this LOVE STUFF IS TO MUCH

  • Play this song when you Fk up, and you submit.... say baby " where did we go wrong"?

  • We as people should take this song's advice. Start anew. Change what's wrong into something better. Stop blaming someone else. Fix it. Government needs some tightening up.

  • damn good song

  • @07animefreak07

    got that right!

  • This is an all time favorite song by LTD, asking that quetion no one wants to answer

  • chillax!

  • @BiggHvy, Thank you.

  • iz this atlantic star it sounds just like em

  • Jeffrey BETTA SANG!!!!!!!!

  • About a month ago i put a few songs on F.B. this was one of them and a young lady friend asked why do you always put Love songs up here and my response to her was that these are song that real Men sang to their Women this is how real Men talked about their Women but most of all this is what Women demanded from their Men some of us still know how to tell a Woman how Beautiful she is.

  • @BiggHvy Love your response. Yes, real women want to hear their men talk to them like this.

  • @BiggHvy That was the realist..I say the same thing all the time..Back in the day all that tough guy stuff was for the locker room..You had to work for it..Now days these young men come right out ask for some..Dont even sugar coat that ..And get it!!..Thats why theres no true love songs anymore..Young men of today dont have to work for it..So theres no respect for it..Young ladies need to step it up and demand more out of young men.. If they did alot more then the music would change!!

  • @BiggHvy Amen to that. I'm 29 and all I listen to is old school music. I like people that can sing I don't to much care for the new artists that are out now I know people call me an "old soul" but I don't care. This kind of music I grew up listening to it around the house and still now I'm glad I still love it.

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC!!!!

  • Makes you wanna go out and do wrong and then play this song to make up and have some serious sex later!! Just kidding about doing wrong! It might backfire on you.

  • 1976

  • Droolz... singing [ We can work it out! ]

  • the best male voice ever, it makes you want love and believe that it exist! I will love jefferey's voice forever

  • We need music like this to come back all this rap is BORING please come back R&B real R&B these guys now cant make music all they doing is making alot of noise its all bout the sex but first you need the love.

  • Love this music.

  • Jeffrey is still going strong...just saw him in Philly great concert and I got to take a photo with him...love you Jeffrey.

  • Love it still. I know where he went wrong. He cheated!!!

  • love this song!! bk n the day!! Thnk God fashion change threw out the years..cause a bunch of men wit no shirts, its so uncool....lol..lol..

  • all i need is a drink and a mike. i got this song!

  • ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. IT BRINGS BACK SO NAMY MEMORIES.

  • male vocals are were so strong then, loved jeffrey osborne with LTD and when he went solo!

  • I wrote love letters off these songs back in the day!!!!

  • iam blown away every time i hear these song it takes me back in time

  • they dont make love songs like this anymore :(

  • this song makes you want to really try harder to save love and work thru difficult times if you have someone in your life worth trying harder for<3

  • From the days when music actually made sense.

  • this music

  • Absolutely the most beautiful song made by LTD. We didn't even know J. Osborne was going to be a breakout star but listen to his silky voice.

  • all time favorite

  • does anyone know this song? YOU CAN CALL ME, CALL ME, OH PLEASE CALL ME ON THE HOT LINE? i think all male old school group...Not the Sylvers...please help..this song is in my head and thats all i remember of it...Thanks

  • @lbowsbabydoll It might be Gerald Levert's Private Line. Check it out, I might be wrong.

  • @lbowsbabydoll It might be Gerald Levert's Private Line. Check it out, I might be wrong. Or it could be Skyy, Call Me. Hope that helps.

  • so in love with this track...i can listen over and over

  • I remember this, like it was this morning... My parents split up at the time this song came out. to a kid who loved his dad so much, to be pulled apart at that time, wow. I remember Teddy Pendergrass, Turn out the lights at this time, also. I almost lost my family, due to my stupidity, sometimes it's good to go back to your roots and this was definitely something to remind me of what a dumb-ass I was, for jeopardizing my world for some B.S.....

  • Gangsta'...they don't make em like this anymore!

  • This is when could actually sing and sounded "masculine" when they sang.

Alot of men, especially young men these days don't sound all that great, and don't have a sense of soulfullness in their voices or music for that matter.

All in all, I love this song.

  • @PatManCool12 there are masculine voices out there but the music industry like to do what works and unfortunately men with high voices still sell

  • @PatManCool12 No doubt. Not only has music declined in recent years...but singing man. There's no soul in voices today. And I don't mean soul as in the genre. I mean soul as in SOUL.

  • this came out in the late seveties ....i lived it

  • I know when I went wrong, but it wasn't bad. Songs from the 1980 just tell it like it is. Sadness and then you move on. Wonderful!

  • Such love of the art of singing brings a joy to my ears and to my life when times were great My people have a gift that has been bought in to the light of love when it really meant somthing Im so happy i had a chance to live it .Im so pleased to know of that time when men were men and women were women its ashame it will never come again just real moments in time and i really lived it .

  • this song is the best

  • Ms Vanillaqueen@ No denying, you have been hurt. But, we all loved before any trust was created. We just assumed it was a natural part of love, But, when you realize that you would gladly accept a little time with your love, over never seeing them again. Working things out doesn't seem so wrong. It has been years since I have seen my love's face, Yet, inside I deeply love her still.

  • this was real singing back in the day. what happened to it?

  • damn, lots of memories

  • damn missin my husband hurry home baby !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anyone know when this song came out.

  • @screwface1011 This single was released in 1980.

  • @TheTallMan35 Asante Sana.

  • @screwface1011 Karibu :)

  • 1980

  • 6 people don't know where they went wrong.

  • @TheTallMan35 Well maybe they can fix it.

  • @TheTallMan35 They're still in denial lol!

  • @TheTallMan35 No. They loved a stranger.

  • @TheTallMan35 you can add 2 more confused folks

  • @TheTallMan35 can you prove that?? or are just following suit with everyone else who can count how many people didnt like a song?

  • @redbluffhill1 Stop being so narcissistic and let me tell you about a time when THIS kind of music played at house parties. Picture it.... 1980... no guns, no gang violence, girls (most of the time) acted like ladies, cars were made of steel, songs spoke of love (not bangin' that thang), and people knew how to communicate with each other. Now come down off of your high horse, listen to this song again & learn something....know-it-all!

  • @redbluffhill1 I am a witness for TheTallMan35. He is totally correct. The women acted like ladies and the men followed suit. You had your "mess ups" but the interaction among the people was so different. Depending on where you were from, you did not worry about a party ending in violence like today. The men did not refer to us as bitches and whores, at least not in public, and our music spoke of love, being strong. and pride. The music back then made you dance, cry, laugh, and love.

  • I REMEMBER MY MOTHER LISTENING TO THIS SONG WHEN I WAS ABOUT 6 YEARS OLD AND IT WAS A HIT THEN AND NOW THAT IM IN MY 30S I STILL LISTEN TO THIS SONG AND I ASK MYSELF WHERE DID I GO WRONG IN LIFE, BUT ITS NOT A BAD SONG ITS STILL A HIT TO ME

  • im not trying to be funny this song is fire but this cover is no homo like crazy

  • I'm 22 i kno wat ol skool music is and imma 80's baby i was growing up listen to the music from the 70's,80's, & 90's thatz ol skool L.T.D., The Commodores, The Whispers, Heatwave, The Delfonics and more........................

  • Where did we go wrong...these days REAl love has seem to have disappeared. I'm not that old, but can really appreciate the poineers of REAL music.

  • @phillybred79 I agree with you. Its microwave love.. Hot and now! I sit here single, wondering if i'm ever going to be able to find that traditional love. I kick back to these Passionate songs and think of how I use to look at the grown ups in the early 80's and say to myself " I hope I can find love like that when I grow up.

  • @toytoy7600 I don't think too many young people can say that today.

  • @padussia , The new music has no Passion. Love is a game these days to the young. I guess it depends on how you were raised. Im the last of a dying breed of youngsters who embrace a certain type of Love and compassion. I instill in my children what the village around me instilled in me.

  • @toytoy7600 U right microwave...instant gratification. SMH. I grew up on 70's, 80's and even 90's music.....good music is #deadandgone.

  • @toytoy7600 Word up!!

  • man wooo i remember this song. i was 6 years old when this came out. my first time hearing this was at the barber shop. my barber was cool as hell cause he would just play old school music at his barber shop...rip mr burks...

  • I love this song. I still know every word to it. A real slow drag tune. Thanks for the memories.

  • this is my jam

  • if you and your man is not speaking...just play this song (on repeat a course) and before the night ends ...all is well. Trust me it works!!!!

  • i jus love this music! i am 24 yrs old and was raised on what REAL music is about. Im old school to my heart. Thats what keeps me going!

  • ...and maybe we can fix it....my fav line.THANX.G

  • I agree with all the comments. The music back then was more simple and spoke to you. Some of today's music is crappy.

  • thank u

  • A real masterpiece which will be (almost) impossible to duplicate. A real classic that will stand the test of time and never go out of style!

  • jus good ole music!!!!

  • this group is one of my favorite, love jeffrey's voice.

  • One of my favorite LTD songs. You know, teenagers of my time had some pretty sophisticated tastes.

If there were a female counterpart to this song, I would say it's, 'The Makings of You' by Gladys Knight and the Pips. Not so much because of theme, but because they're equally beautiful.

  • MY TYPE OF MUSIC

  • PEOPLE, this music is not dead!! WE have to demand to hear it on the radio or we won't support the radio stations. This is what they understand only. STOP requesting all the BS music and start requesting REAL music.

  • my mom and daddy use to play thiswen i wus litte i still love this song i love old skool cus they have a meaning to wat they r sayin but these songs out today aint shit

  • Sometimes there's no way to save it...just let it go and move one. Sure it's gonna hurt like hell..healing is hurting as well. Oh but when we heal....oh when we heal! When the trust is gone, the love can't save it. I think trust trumps love!

  • @MsVanillaqueen Years later you still have regrets and memories of the love you should have kept and thats LIFE kicking you in the teeth!! WELCOME

  • @2hard2try i know that right

  • @MsVanillaqueen very deep and so very true

  • Sometimes there's no way to save it...just let it go and move one. Sure it's gonna hurt like hell..healing is hurting as well. Oh but when we heal....oh when we heal! LHM

  • Recently saw Jeffrey Osborne in Men of Soul Concert. That man has still got it! He was great. This song is one of my many favorites by him.

  • Simple fact is we went as far as we could go...one or both change our minds of were we were in this...doesn't mean it we went wrong we are humans and we change our minds...this is something that should be seriously discussed early in the relationship.."what we will do and how will we handle it" when and if that time comes...we started as friends lets end as friends....but more importantly...Deal With The Facts....

  • maybe if these songs was still around the baby daddies today would stick around todays music is to hyphy.

  • This song has been on my mind all day!!! LOVE this song, i swear it feeds my soul! *Sways from side to side*

  • @yourgrandmadarling..Why don't these women marry the man she allows to impregnate her then become impregnated...better yet...if she gets to know him better she would ALREADY KNOW that he is irresponsible and immature...and most of these breeders..uhm..i mean so called women have a string of irresponsible immature men AND KIDS by each to prove it so who is to blame for her inability to control her "desires" long enough to just even meet a man's family before she breeds? DON'T ALWAYS BLAME THE MAN

  • got a good one here.

  • @Screamingdk Women as well desire other men especially when the one who she allowed to inpregnate her shows himself to to deficient in every department. Male immaturity and IRRESPONSIBILITY damages the children. The female then has to assume all the burden and in doing so forfeits some of her feminity in the process and gets no thanks honor or respect for taking care of the children this BOY has skeeted out and wiped his stick and went on to the next one.

NO, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN TO ME!

  • now this was some serious fuck music,of course if ya wasn't getting any I quess ya musta been really whipping that stick!

  • why couldn't be an of this generation it sucks being a 1987 baby

  • @cumberland19132 Im a 88 baby so I feel you....

  • @614Gem I agree with you and @cumberland19132

At least more people would appreciate this music in this generation right along with us.

  • great song.

  • I went to the "Men of Soul" Concert last night, and Jeffrey O. did a little bit of this song! I love it, and can listen to it over and over...Thanks for the Excellent Post!

  • @peaches666ify

I was in the same situation myself. Fell in love with someone who belonged to someone else. But, his excuse was that it was hard for him or most men to resist me. He told both of you the same lies, I guess he wanted his cake and ice cream to. The other woman is very old fashioned and a school teacher, however I'm a professional woman but very adventurous and outgoing. I do dress very sexy and provocative, but it's classy.

  • @ladyred2sum Men were never made to be with one women. All women refuse to accept this simple fact. It doesn't mean we don't love some women but it also doesn't mean we don't desire other women. I'm in my 60s five grown kids and I know how true this is.

  • @Screamingdk

I told my friend/lover that I was moving on, since he refuse to make a decision. I have started seeing someone else and he's going crazy. Calling me all times of the night and texting me all times of the night. He claims he's sprung and he's not going to give me up. I'm in my mid forties, work out at least 4-5 times a week, eat very healthy and a size 12 with Double D's. My friend is 55 years of age and not in good health. I'm a leading lady, not the best friend.

  • This music makes you look inside yourself, if you really love the person your with, you salvage the relationship, or you cut your losses. Either way, a decision must be made. Classic!!!

  • Well said my suster its gud to know that all is not a lost cause

  • We'll find away to save it will build a road above it baby.... no one wants to build anything together anymore..... were did tha love go

  • Yea that is right where did we "ALL GO WRONG" in life and where dose the road of love take us..............i really love this song

  • that's it i'm picking up this album wednesday their songs are too awesome!

  • When ever I listen to this song, it reminds me of riding up to Flint, with my late Father in the Cadillac, popping this into the 8 Track in 1979. I was about 9 years old, at the time. For my Dad's last birthday...I brought him this CD, in 2006. He was very pleased that I remember this song...over 25 years later. Thank you Jeffery for allowing me to continue having those special memories of me and my beloved Father....by listening to your music!

  • @kayla9170 That song came out in 1980 .

  • @kayla9170 I lost my dad awhile back (30yrs.) and he listened to a lot of music and I love all the motown acts....I'm from MI (Detroit) so you already know....Minnie Riperton, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Supremes..etc.. etc.. I can go on for days Smokey Robinson okay enough you get it, anyway my point music is just simply not the same....

  • @kayla9170 that's a beautiful memory, and may your father rest in peace.

  • Mr. Osbourne, you put on an absolute show in Hampton last night! Thanks for the memories! BTW, you still look good! WHEW!

  • Now this is an all time classic

  • 10 Brothers in this Band. Yes thats what it takes to make Quality Music. Not a turntable

and 2 Mics. REAL ARTISTS. The Loss of R/B is a reflection that we as a people have

gone in the wrong direction with our Music. Our music comes from our communities and

whats on the airwaves today is sad..

  • simply beautiful...
