After being on Accutane for two(2) six(6) month treatments my cystic acne cleared up mostly but when it dried up all of the lumps my skin caved in at those places leaving very ugly scars.

To be fair Chemotherapy is poison injected into a body or taken orally that is given to cancer patients. Without that poison most would die. Now, another thing people use Botox (a form of botulism) is injected to "plump" skin is also poisonous. ALL medications have side effects (some even have "death" written on them). I used Accutaine about three years ago, and I have never had any of these side affects.

I guess medicine affects everyone differently, but for me it's been a miracle.

some people have to take 2 or 3 cycles of accutane- everyone is different. you can't still have side effects if the medication isn't consistantly in your system after you finished the medication it was in your system for 30 days after that. it doesn't stay in your fat cells or anything. you probably just have dry skin with acne, and your don't eat enough protein or have a bad diet so your skin doesn't heal as fast

The birth defects are true but you're NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT if you're pregnant! It can be pretty harsh, but that's why I'm under constant testing to make sure I'm okay. dont take it! my older brother went on it and his hair fell out 2 years later he was almost bald on top, and his skin turned yellowish and he can never play sports again cuz it messed up his bones and his liver is almost destroyed so he needs to get shots every day

I took this shit last year for less then 2 months and stopped because my hair was falling out. I was terrified as for 5 months afterwards it was still falling out but thankfully it stopped and regained its thickness but along with that came my acne so now I'm conflicted over whether its worth taking again.

I used Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) - 20mg (highest dose) every day, during 7 months and some time after that I started using 10mg two days a week, during 1 year.

I have never had any problems concerning my health due to the use of Isotretinoin. Except the fact that my problem IS NOT solved - I still suffer from acne.

Accutane did it's job for me, no doubt. however, i went through hell with it because i'm really skinny and they put me on 100mg a day so i had terrible side effects for 7 months. NEVER take this drug unless you have serious cystic acne! i havent dreamed since i was off accutane, i think it messed up my brain. i also had many other serious side effects like hallucinations that i dont ever talk about.
