and btw how long have to been learning piano. I am asking since I would like to play from scratch. But I am not sure how long will it take to play like you. And I am pretty slow in reading notations as well....
i have posted the link for the music sheet under 'description' ^^^. this is not the actual sheet I used for the video though, I learned slim5700's version (good old pause&play hehe).
i self-taught myself how to play the piano and have been playing for about 2 years now, but I've had 1-year keyboard lessons when I was young. Don't worry if you're slow at reading, I am as well. What I do is write the letters on the music sheet - that's how I improve my reading speed :). Also, if it makes you feel better, I don't know alot of the other symbols on the music sheets mean, but I guess as long as you like and know the song well enough, you should be fine.
@boknat91 omg same with me as well. I've been teaching myself to play piano for two years now. And i'm also slow at reading and i also write the letters on the music sheet. xD aha but yea, still practicing :]
i could hardly read notes when i started... here's a tip: write down the letters about each notes... and if there are symbols you don't understand, google it. this is how i currently read music sheets
i'm getting faster at recognising the notes, just by doing this...
well i had one year keyboard training... but that was it... what i do to play the songs now is i right the letter of the notes on top of each one for example: A B C D E F G... cos i can't remember them... but i noticed recently i've been 'translating' the notes a lot more quickly than i used to... so i'm getting better at reading them...
that's good! that's how i use to be too when there are just certain notes i can't seem to remember. in no time, you'll be able to read notes just like that without writing on it! yeh!
