@Taheelur123 its the other way around....the commandant of the USMC saw how the ROKMC handled the vietnamese and most of it had to do with their hand-to-hand combat. So thats where the USMC implemented the MCMAP....so in truth.... USMC got jealous and made their own.

Dude... It's for close combat, and when you run or lose your gun or weapon.

Yeah man. I agree. Obviously its for close training. But now in days, close quarters combat never occurs unless you are working for FBI or m16. But in military situations such as with the ROKMC or Marines, soldiers would NEVER lose their gun. Obviosuly, it is important to train soldiers in close combat situations, but i doubt any or at least a large sum of the soldiers would never end in a situation where close fighting is necessary in our modern world.

This is all I have to say. In war, Shit happens. You never know what you need. It's better safe than sorry. The more trained a soldier is in all around combat, the better.

i agree with you. it is important to train the soldiers with hand to hand combat since shit happens in combat and i support it, but who's gonna do that kind of moves with body armors and equipments on?

It's crucial that a military personnel has the capability to deliver "1 hit 1 kill" skills in many situation when using gun is inconvenient (*Recon, stealth mission CQB...etc.). To reach that stage require lots of extremely harsh conditioning and training (mentally and physically), for those who knows nothing about military and martial art please pay some respect and keep the stupid comments from your small tiny brains. thx

We all being trained to do these movements in all situation, With or without clothes and equipments.

Hwa Rang Do is just an invented martial art, don't believe in the bullshit that it descends from the Hwarang. The Korean Marines official training program is a slightly modified Tae Kwon Do (focused on combat efficiency, lethal and non-lethal).
