Them two had something special, i used to watch this morning just for them! I like Phil and holly but they don't have the same magic. Phill and Fern were like two naughty school children playing up lol Miss them.
How I miss Fern and Philip, they seemed to really enjoy what they did and they seemed to get on so well, and these clips always cheer me up, Ferns laugh is so infectious!!!!

I only started tuning in when I was forced to take medical retirement & found her beautiful,throaty laugh so infectious,better than any medication.And the way she & Phillip gelled together was spot-on.Holly,whilst I'm sure is a delightful young woman jus doesn't have the same 'joie de vivre' which Fern seemed to have.The only 'up-side' is that she seems to have stopped saying "Oh my God..." at the beginning of each sentence.
@popazz1 I know, I so agree with you about Fern, I think the problem is that Holly is just too young and I hate to say it but it now looks like a father and daughter are presenting! I understand that Phil chose Holly, but I miss the old This Morning and now no longer turn it on if I'm at home.
You've hit the nail on the head.Holly is just 'eye-candy' in my opinion.She's too young to have the gravitas which Fern posessed,& let's face it,Fern was never going to be seen as 'eye-candy'.Though I imagine some men would correct me on that point,lol.Fern has that 'safe' attractiveness about her,like someone you'd have a pint of scrumpy with & then roar off with her on the back of your bike,lol.Nah,sorry Holly,you just don't 'cut it'.

These sort of pairings i.e older guy with younger 'model' seem to be the norm for tv in the UK, men are allowed to age whereas women are not, Fern had a lot of experience in tv, I used to see her on our local news where I used to live and she was a very good reporter so she does know her subject! Holly is, I hate to say, there for looks. Fern always seems like someone you could relate to, like a sister.

@popazz1 The trouble is Holly seems to have brought her 'friends' such as Keith Lemon on the show (I'm sorry I just don't find him funny.), I think the gastric band thing was blown way out of proportion, people were taking it personally, she just wanted to keep it private, and its not a quick fix! I just hope that she can find another outlet for her professional skills.
