I love the train! I wonder if Athearn will bring one out in there Genisis series? I just started my collection of HO scale engines. You have a great layout. I even wonder if Athearn will aslo bring out a SD-70ace? I wish i would nenevr gotten into race cars I would have a lot of cash to spend on trains!

Interesting question. They look like they might be the Walthers FrontRunners, but it's hard to tell.

There is only one Front Runner in the train, and it's a Walthers. All other Impack cars are Athearn.

Yes, HO scale. Those are not my autoracks, but I believe they were produced by Walthers some time ago. If your LHS can't get them, look on eBay...

The EOT is scratch built. The battery operated electronics are in the trailer, and there is a switch underneath. The LED is just glued to the end of the car above the coupler.

See my reply above to myred02 about the FRED. Ask your hobby shop about the retail kits. I think they run around $25, and usualy are powered by the trucks.
