  • Does banana bread work with icing or does it taste strange? Because I would like to use some of your cupcake decorating tips but on banana bread, would that work? Thankyou (:

  • @Wolfinsheepsgarments This is pretty sweet without the frosting, but you could put some on

  • oooooooh looks good

  • Please banana pound cake is next! Is so delicious I want it so badly. Make one for us. Feed the hunger Youtubers! (lol)

  • you should try to make bannana bread fith crushed walnuts and choclate chips it taset realy good

  • @1panesso That does sound really good, thanks for the suggestion

  • r u guys candian?

    excuse my spelling

  • @dtylerboo10 yes

  • I don't think you need to put flour in the chocolate chips for some people, because when i add chocolate chips to muffins, cakes or bread they don't sink at the bottom i don't know why but maybe of overmixing the batter make it dense and difficult.

  • @TheBunkitty I think the type of batter and the amount of mixing does make a difference for sure

  • Maybe mist the choc chips w/ water and then flour them to keep from sinking? I will try next time around!

  • I just made it it's in the oven it's smells so good

  • @PKZOreoLover This is a winner recipe for sure, I have made it many times. :)

  • Thank you!

Just followed your video & I'm about to put them in the oven.

    Wish me luck!

    :-)

  • @mqs7524 How did they turn out? Good I hope :)

  • @yoyomax12

    Absolutely delic!

    Thank you. :-)

  • HEY i dont have that fancy blender you are using.... can i use my hand blender? pls reply soon....nice video!

  • @nanul16 Hand blended would be just fine.

  • I am new at this cooking thing. New obsession. What is the difference between Baking soda and Baking powder.

  • Nicely done! I've made a version of this bread check it out. I don't know if putting flour on the chips works or not (I tried it too) I think you could always take some of the batter and put a small layer on the bottom of the pan. I requested a video response but didn't see it I hope you will allow :)

  • @divinechef My video responses sometimes don't stick. If it didn't, send me the request again!

  • @yoyomax12

D'oh it doesn't appear in my list of videos. Perhaps it's in your video requests queue?

  • @yoyomax12 Sometimes I will see the request and when I click approve nothing happens. You can only attach a video response to one video at a time. Have you attached it to another? If not, just re-send the video response request.

  • HEY, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ME AND MY NAN LOVE TO BAKE AND WE ALWAYS TAKE TIPS FROM YOUR VIDEOS, I HAVE A QUESTION, AS YOU USE BANANA'S FOR BANANA BREAD WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO GO CRAZY AND MAKE SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF APPLE BREAD OR PEAR BREAD? OR EVEN PEANUT BUTTER BREAD! THAT WOULD BE SO TASTY! HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU ;D

  • @TheMrPolskaaa I google apple bread and peanut butter bread and there are recipes online for both, check it out. :)

  • @yoyomax12 THANKYOU SO MUCH! HOPE TO SEE SOME MORE VIDEOS SOON! :D

  • banana bread is my favorite! im going to make this with my mom tomorrow =)

  • @dasherbaby411 I hope it turned out okay :)

  • @chocolate879 If you want to leave the chocolate chips out, just leave them out. The recipe I use is for plain banana bread, I just added the chocolate chips in myself!

You can add vanilla to any baking recipe, all it does is give a bit of flavour to otherwise bland things (like frosting for example).

thanks for telling me that you made this and enjoyed it! I really do enjoy hearing from people. :)

  • you ROCK

  • @ilovepatience3 thanks!

  • you have made me a better cook :) Thank you..

  • @spnfan10 You are welcome!

  • I LOVE MAKING UR RECIPES !!!!

  • @lonelygirl923 I'm very happy you are enjoying them. I appreciate all of the people who take the time to comment on my vids!

  • I cant wait to see what comes out of the oven! hahahaha! The mixture looked exactly like what you had there so it might be alright. Will let you know. In all the hype, Nigel turns around to me and says "but i dont like banana". : 0 ~

  • @Supportahol After all that he doesn't like bananas? lol! So did it turn out okay?

  • I did it hun! Didnt have the teaspoon of baking powder though and only realised that after the supermarket was closed. I added everything elce. Then i discovered i didnt have toothpicks! I'll have to trust the "hollow sound" technique. Just had enough bananas. I added "milk chocolate" chips. They didnt have the other sort. Also... i didnt know the difference between "strong flour" and "all purpose" flour! I used regular self raising white flour.

  • @Supportahol The self rising flour has the baking powder in it, so you should be okay with that. I've never heard of "strong flour" before, is it whole wheat?

  • Hun, you are seriously the best chef here on youtube that i have ever watched. This has gone right into my favourites and that means i will definately try to make it. I must buy an electric blender hun. Like the one you have there. I was using forks and all that. Fellas in the kitchen huh?! I had banana bread only once, years ago. Eggcellent idea flouring the chocolate chips. Helps them to hang on. Didnt matter that some of the chips went down with the ship! : 0 )

  • That looks so good...

I think I will come to your place for a piece of cake ; )

  • @aohmann I'm not sure how much the flouring helped, but it still tasted good.

  • EXCELLENT aND EASY!!!!! THANKS!!! =)

  • @felpuda2910 thanks!

  • I can't just eat one slice..yummmmmmmmmm! HuGz sweetness

  • @kismet0717 I have the same problem with this too, one slice? Ya right! lol

  • I have been making banana bread with chocolate chips for many years now and I must say it is my favorite. I will try coating the chocolate chips too.

I also freeze my banana bread. I always make 4 maybe 5 loafs so I freeze some and when I defrost them they taste so fresh. I have even make muffins with this recipe,,, it came out great.

I think I will make some tomorrow.... I have a few dark bananas... yummy ^)^

  • @mrsbowlingballout This freezes so well! I only had two bananas otherwise I would have made a double batch. So nice just popping one of these out of the freezer and having a home made dessert!

  • Looks delicious! I have a peanut butter lover in my family so I sometimes do half semi sweet chocolate chips and half peanut butter chips!

  • @feliciajuly I also have a peanut butter lover co-worker at work and I've even used peanut butter in this cake. Peanut butter chips are even a better idea!

  • I happen to have some ripe bananas in there now..I didn't know what to do with them, now I do...yummy. Thanks for sharing!!

  • @Autumngirl24 Sometimes I buy extra bananas just so I can make this!

  • If I were capable of eating just a bite or two, I would make this. I know I would blow through a loaf in a day or so, Im so weak willed!

  • @1DRock37167 I find my self having the same problems with this. With me and the two boys in the house the loaves lasted about two days!

  • Wow - that did look yummy. Banana bread (or cake) is the only way I'll eat bananas. I don't care for them, but add enough fat grams and sugar and suddenly, they are okay! :) Please tell Max hello from Los Angeles!

  • @thizizliz Sugar fat and chocolate can make almost anything taste better!

    Max says HI back!

  • Looks great!

  • @TheVittleVlog Thanks! I usually try to do interesting or unusual recipes on here, but the basic ones are good too. I have a few beginning bakers that watch me too.

  • two of my favorite things in one dish NOMS!

  • @saphyreXice Thanks Meg!

  • oh yummy

my hubby would love this. both are his fav.

  • @mommunson Thanks Jeanette!

  • Will you marry me? hahhaha

  • @ninjajessie1 I've heard how thoroughly you clean your house! I cook + you clean = a match made in heaven ;)

  • Yanno, don't think I've ever had the sinking to the bottom problem with banana bread.. I think maybe the recipe was too...watery? I think my recipe is too thick for that to happen. But the flour coated choc chips should work if you don't work it too much into the wet ingredients to .. rub all the flour off. You may try putting in a layer of bread, sprinkle chips, then another layer of bread, then sprinkle chips on top of that and see how it does?

  • @silverscreamgrl I think the layering thing would help a lot. Most of the chips stayed "suspended" in this recipe this time.

  • Mmm, looks delicious!

  • @NewBoi1980 Thanks!

  • Sounds tasty to be sure!

  • @VlogasaurusFlex This is a family favourite!

  • My husband's second favorite home made cake!! (His all time favorite being chocolate brownies). It reminds me that I haven't made one for a while...

I love banana bread but I'm one of those weird people who hates mixing any fruit with chocolate... I just add a tablespoon of rhum for a special touch... He! He! :D

    ~hugs~

    nathalie

  • @kimiandmaya The addition of the rum sounds delicious!

  • @yoyomax12 I had no idea "rum" was spelled differently in English... in French we love to put "h" everywhere :)

  • I love banana bread esp with cream cheese on it! Ina Garten always puts her added ingredients in flour first; chips, nuts, etc. She says they won't go to the bottom? Your bread looks great!

  • @wildheart5 I think that that it what I should have done instead of adding a little flour to the chips. I didn't think of it until I was about the add the chips at the end!

  • looks so good....love banana bread.

  • @trvlbuggy Me too! thanks

  • I prepare the same bread but with out choco chips and i use a muffin tin sheet to bake my bread......next time i will prepare with the choco chips....:) thanks for the recipe tammy

  • @viduoo9 The chocolate goes sooooo very well with the bananas. Then again, chocolate makes just about anything taste better!

  • NOTE:if using too much banana the batter will be to heavy to rise

  • @AnniSweden Very good point! Thank you.
