  • Five stars and picking my jaw up from the floor , it dropped there as Iwas listening!

  • That sounds like it could be straight out of an old dukes of hazzard episode while roscoe chases the dukes. I love it so much! It's too hard to find good country blues and bluegrass dobro music, but people like you make it easier. Thank you.

  • Even slowed down would be helpful...

  • wow

  • Holy Hell Man. That is awesome.

  • what kind of slide are u using?

  • It`s one of Tim Scheerhorn`s chrome platet steel bars.

  • Good one Martin.

  • Excellent.

  • I'll buy the DVD... no lie! 8-)

  • Pick Away and Louise! I learned the basics of Pick Away from the Jerry Douglas/Homespun learning tape years ago but you are doing some really nice rolls, hammer-ons and slanting.

I would really like to learn how to play Louise. I'm pretty good at bending but it would be nice to see it broken down, upclose and slow.

Thanks! You're an incredible Dobroist and you should really make a learning video like Cashdollar, Douglas etc. I would definatley buy it.

  • I`ve been asked for a learning DVD by many dobro players. I already started to record some of my videos as a slow played video version. The DVD should come along with all the tabulatur and that is the problem. I can`t write nor read music. I need the help of a friend of mine to tab out all that vids. It takes a long time to finish a project like that, but I`m working on it. If some of you folks are interested to watch one of the slow videos just shoot me a mail.

    cheers

    Martin

  • The Homespun Douglas, Cashdollar learning series don't come with tab either, just slowed down and that's really all I need. Thanks.

  • Martin, when are you going to produce learning videos?

  • Pelter1,

just tell me what song I should start my video.

    cheers

    Martin

  • Martin, I also enjoy listening to your tunes

    Andre Prabowo, Jakarta, Indonesia

  • Martin,

Great work, I enjoy listening to your tunes.

    Ernie Lewis, Bakersfield, CA USA

  • great picking.

  • Anni di totale dedizione.... Meraviglioso

  • Incredibly good, smooth transitions, terrific pickin'. Country, and in particular Blue Grass and Texas Swing have always been cool! Have you heard Sasha Ostrovsky from (down disbanded) Bering Strait on dobro? Might be Russian born but he picked up a lot of country soul along the way. Thanks for the music. Kirby

  • Country, in particular Blue Grass and Texas Swing, have always been cool. Your work is remarkable. Beautiful resonance from the RQ Jones, but it's musician that makes it. Have you heard Sasha Ostrovsky from Bering Strait on Foggy Mountain Breakdown? He might be Russian, but he's definitely got a Country soul. Kirby

  • nice picking, and a good sound. Who's playing the band>?

  • Hi Alpengeschmack,

love your vids, excelent guitar picking. The band is all me.

    grützi

    Martin

  • That song seems to sit very well on the dobro which is a limited instrument, nicely done Martin.I like all the fast picking.

  • your music is amazing! never knew that COUNTRY is that cool^^

  • What model of dobro is this one???Carl..Sounds awsome

  • Carl, this is a RQ Jones resophonic guitar. It was custom build for me in the early 80`s. This modell is made of mahogani and it has a poinsetta cover plate. It is one of my first Dobros and I use it for the more traditional tunes.

  • Thanks for the reply martin. great music..Carl
