"You coulda gone to tune up masters... Aaaaahhhh." @ 3:40
How funny is it to see Letterman outside of his comfort zone? I love that little sound he made that would usually be accompanied by Paul Schaffer cackling and the band doing a punch line drum sound.
@TTIME55440 Yep, that is the one...the one where he is living his private life while Bush is ruining the economy and killing countless civilians overseas. We are still suffering from Bush...but gee...I don't know where Dave caused me any problems...cause I got a remote control goof ball.
@TheBengaul I have wondered that about heart operations using pig parts ? and if a ape is our next of kin why are pigs the most compatable with humans in dna transplants.
We need some Carlie Simon music here in the background. Your so vain. This broad just rubbs me the wrong way w/ her tone of voice and all. Love Dave to death though, seems like he loves her enough for all that dont........ So much
I love how in the last decade or so, Letterman's opened up a lot more about his personal life and appeared on show's like this... Long live David Letterman, I feel like the heart surgery and the birth of his son have made him a more accessible celebrity/living-legend. What separates him from Leno is Dave's vast vocabulary and you get the sense that his guests actually like being with him and have so much respect for him.
@christytina81 sherri likes her job and after all, a person who believes the world is flat and that "nothing came before Jesus" doesn't have that many employment opportunities outside entertainment
@MyJustified hasselback is no genius either, but the "world is flat" and "nothing came before Jesus" has to take the cake. Hasselback is not only stupid but evil as well with her right wing agenda and constantly kissing anything that even smells like it's republican
@JCragan Everyone knows it: Letterman is very intimidating... ask Bill O'reilly and many others who are assholes out there, but puppets in the presence of Letterman..
@Anuskasv0 the same thing happened when he was on Oprah. It seem like he gets nervous when he's on other people's shows-- you can see he's sweating here too.
@couldcause I also am a big David Letterman fan. I have been a fan of him since I was 12 years old. He is a very funny man, talented writer and comic. Great interviewer. I like that his show is so creative and off the wall. I know every talk show host owes a debt to Letterman and I am glad he came to The View to welcome back my other idol Barbara Walters!!! I love The View and her interview specials. She and Dave will always been cool to me!!!
@RealTime88 Wow! I've been a Dave fan since I was 10 (1983). Nice sentiment and VERY well put. Letterman completely reinvented late night...Even Carson knew it.
@KellyGreen5555 Your funny to think we dont have TV out here in australia or think I can vote and support Palin, the facts are facts about what he said about the young child, being a girl why would you support a dirty old man.
Even the public out here knew it was the younger daughter at the stadium as the media was attacking her like crazy, Letterman is suppose to be intelligent and should have known who was with Palin but made a weak excuse that he had no idea ? so he is dishonest too
@beginization You are absolutely correct. The left in this country may be the most vile group of people on the face of the earth. It is not limited to this old letch, Letterman, but people like Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, etc. They never address issues that conservatives stand for that they disagree with, its always vile personal attacks. It is very sad
@bluegsp Yes atleast Obama did some good by exposing Maher, Mathews, Shulz, olderman, NBC and how far the media will go to support there own politics at all cost.
Then to see a comunity organiser stir up problems as a president is sad as america is such a great country, to see him gut it without anyone except the tea party to resist is history in the making, obama has let it slip manytimes lately how he would like to rule without congress getting in the way and seems to be getting desperate.
@beginization Yeah, they all acted like Beatles groupies in teh 60's. Its like they were competing to show the most fawning affection for him, and that really is racism. They cared more about the color of his skin than anything else. Not his experience, his knowledge, his qualifications, nothing. Just his skin color. Too bad, really, the first black president turns out to be one of the worst ever. How much will that set blacks back?
@bluegsp Considering you mentioned my heroes in Maher, Letterman, and Stewart you made me smile. Two words in your claim of personal attacks: Media Matters!!!
