The LaserDiscs of this "THX enhanced" (aka "Faces" for the cover design) set was also advertised as "last chance to own," again, I'm glad they were wrong! Now if only we could get a restored (but non-Special Edition) set on high def... Lucas always needs more profit!
I'm glad this commercial was wrong...! Now the Original Editions have since been released TWICE on DVD (once in Sept 2006, and now barely a week ago as a "box set").
Of course VHS (colloquially called "video") as a format is dead, but so what? The only thing missing is "Episode IV: A New Hope" from the first movie, but that isn't how it was originally shown in theaters, but the first update from 1981.
lol i still own original star wars episode iv - vi on a vhs :) i know vhs is dead but i think its really rare to find sw trilogy on a vhs in these days :)
Could George Lucas do a remake of "The Wizard of Oz" if he wanted to? I would say yes. But these days Mr. Lucas will do whatever he wants to do as a movie director and movie maker.
Lucas needs to retire for good. His last star wars movies sucked. He didn't really have a whole prequil written when he did the originals as he claimed. It looks like he was scrambling for ideas... and even went against some stuff said in the originals. Such as Leia remembering her mother (growing up with her)
Oh, and your editing is pretty good and some parts of your video are clever...I could enjoy it more had it not aggravated the search for the video the audio is from....
hehe sorry. I was born a teaser. The video is on VHS and I don't have any hardware to receieve and record RCA's onto my computer. (It would have been another $300 out of my pocket to do that) If I ever get the hardware I will make sure to upload that rare preview. And the Jabba dance scene. The special edition one sucks.
I bet you can find this on ebay. I once thought about selling mine then found out it wouldn't be any major profit right now. People might even be selling it new there.
You'll like my wizard of oz with star wars ending

This is just as good as the "Star Woz" video here at YouTube, which is a cross-over video of Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz.

I had no idea someone did a wizard of oz/star wars combo. I made this when I was putting hard rock concert videos to softcore music lol

Aw man :( Is there any place on the internet where I can find it? It can't be coincidence you found the audio lying around one day and used it.

OH ---- I've been looking for the VHS trilogy preview everywhere for a VERY long time and I was so close....can you upload it untainted please?
