  • I'd heard that the little boxy HD camcorders like this one (or the Flip or the Vado) did a lousy job at shooting at concerts, but your Journey videos prove them wrong. This came out great! :) Looks like I might just be canceling the order I had for a different unit and getting the Sony instead.

    PS: I saw the Cheap Trick/Heart/Journey show in Raleigh in September, still can't get over how much Arnel sounds like Steve Perry! :D

  • I was surprised myself with the TG1 at a concert. The sound is also great. Just make sure you steer clear of a speaker's direct path or you'll get a lot of booming distortion. Also, a new version of this camera (HDR-TG5v) is set to be released soon. Do a search on YT and see the improvements they've made since the TG1.
