  • 6:00 It would've been better to keep the stuff you threw away than getting those items XD...

  • Six years old for everybody?

Somehow... I can see Pedobear approving this message.

  • You call this bastard "Gilgamesh"? No way!

  • ODIN~!

  • yes 6 year olds for everyone.

  • DRAGOONS ARE MARIO?

  • @Postwarchives Wouldn't it make more sense to say that Mario was a Dragoon?

  • Can anyone tell me where to find the roms for FF2 and FF3? I thought they were Japanese-only releases, but now I see that I was wrong... So if anyone knows, I'd appreciate it...

  • About the Gilgamesh thing-- the Japanese version calls him ギガメス (gigamesu). So it appears to be different...

  • Garuda was not one of the hardest bosses to be fought on Final Fantasy III. It was that darn Medusa. Climb that friggin' Owen Tower to get easily slaughtered.

  • man, was i lucky doing this boss fight. I had all of my characters at level 20 and only one person as a Dragoon and the others as my normal classes. I lucked out when most of my party was dead, and my Dragoon did a critical hit with 1500 damage. I only had eight-hundred hp

  • The final fantasy wiki leads one to believe that Gigames was not suppose to be Gilgamesh. So sad.

  • Whoa, the dramaticness lowered a lot in that one scene. But I still applaud the creators for including such a scene in a NES game.

And I applaud you for helping me in the fight with Garuda. According to my calculations it has around 8000 HP in the DS version.

  • I killed Garuda at like level 22. Sure, Arc and Refia died, but i still did it. It wasn't even THAT hard.

  • "Doesn't He love me?" *cries like baby* XD XD XD

  • I seriously doubt Gigames is like a mistranslation of Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh is to awesome to be like Garuda

  • "What kind of parents don't love their children?"

The kind that sends them on a quest to save the world, even though they're only six years old.

  • about a minute in I was really surpised you didnt use the Monty Python: Holy Grail singing prince clips

  • its supposed to be gilgamesh.

they screwed it up in the ds version

    they called him gigameth

  • @alexlandsbergs Yes? You mean THE Gilgamesh?

  • When I fought Garuda in the DS version, I *barely* beat him... everyone died but Arc since he was airborne lol.

  • I beat him in 2 turns without level grinding

everybody jumped 1st turn and killed him second turn

  • WHERE DID U GET THIS VERSION OF THE GAME- get back to me plz. i wnna get it

  • No, I don't know what you mean.

  • video says error :(

  • Gigames is actually Gigameth, this is a Gilgamesh appearance.

  • oh wow i am playing the ds version and my main character is 26 and the others are 25 and i did all the stuff you said like same equipment and classes and my main did 9999 damage and the others 3000 something he died before my last character could attack him. i find that wierd and the job lvl is 1 lol

  • dragoons against garuda?

  • yeah

  • WAKE UP WITH THE KING

  • third death, nice

  • i think you're right, he's totally gilgamesh (maybe Gilgamesh Sr.?)

  • sounds like an ocarina of time referance

  • I tried to beat Garuda with a lvl 19 Knight, Karateka, W. Mage and B. Mage... and got owned. I only survived 3 turns, even using save states. Worst part is I saved state at the start of the fight so now I gotta start over.

  • The sad theme sounds pretty awesome sped up XD Make that in Mario Paint with the speed up, Bailly!

  • GIRUGAMESH? 6-year-olds for everybody?

This guy was a pain in FF3DS also... My Refia solo pawned him and as a result is an entire level ahead of the rest of my party.

  • wooooooooooo the epic boss music from gilgamesh in final fantasy V it is so awesome, I love it

  • Comment removed

  • I've been forgetting to say "USE A FUCKING PHOENIX DOWN!", but I guess it's okay, because it's not like Phoenix Down's are available at every item shop.

  • I don't think they're available at any item shops in this game, which makes this quite ridiculous at times

  • In the DS version, you kill him in the first version or you are done

  • Almost always when I tried to beat Garuda the hard way (no Dragoons) he beat me at lower levels. At level 32 however my Cure2 spell was sufficient to reduce a lot of his damage. Grinding to level 32 however is hard unless you go to the ancient ruins and beat the undead dragons and Pyros enemies there.

  • yea, those "engineers" look identical to th scholars in FFV

  • lol, dragoons teabag when they win

    XD

  • Hehe I love Clash on the Big Bridge

  • The NPC conversation where the Temple of Time is brought up needed an Zelda Ocarina of Time clip, I'd say..

  • & a partrige in a pear tree!

  • Wow, never knew about the hidden passage in the Wizards' Room.

  • I still cant belive how hard this boss fight is without a party of Dragoons.

  • Lol no way thats not Gilgamesh and besides in each game he is a different person besides ff5 and ff8 which I believe he is the same.

  • except for his remake appearances which don't count, and ffxi, Gilgamesh is the only FF character that is the actually same guy in every appearance.

  • Who doesn't love Gilgamesh? He should have his own Final Fantasy game!

  • LOL

he vanished like a good jedi

    HCBailly you rock

  • the engineers went through him 8:21

  • When the king attacked the prince, I imagined him saying "Die, mah boi!"

Pardon the terrible Legend of Zelda CD-i reference. <_<

  • Another great video, thanks HC. ^~^

  • What? IF anything it would be the other way around..final fantasy came out way before pokemon.

  • I was only level 22 and Garuda only got one turn of thunder on me. I guess I was lucky?

  • Ok then... at this point now on DS version and can say Im kinda proud of myself for being able to take Garuda down without using a Dragoon... managed to keep everyone alive in the end and everyone was at lvl 28 for the fight...

  • i'm at this point, my team (viking, dragoon, r.mage, b.mage) is all lvl. 28, w/ hp little over 800, and i still can't beat him, anything i should do/get?

  • Well...thats an interesting team... yeah so what do you do with your red mage? do you use him for just heals? if so I would suggest you turn him into a w mage...my first run through I made I used a dark knight, a dragoon, w. mage, and a blk mage...can't remember what lvl I was though, I want to say lower but idk...it was awhile ago...second run through (this run through) I used a monk, a knight, a w mage, and a blk mage and all I had my w mage do every turn was cast cura on the entire party...

  • i actually went for the all dragoon team after i got 2 wind spears for everyone, and around lvl. 25-30 so everyone could have little over 1000 hp

  • whatever works man, good job on making it past

  • stop giving pedos wet dreams, there will not be six year olds for everyone.

  • giligamesh theme/battle on the big bridge FTW

  • Haha 'Raid The Castle...Steal Anything you want' XD So many awesome quotes in this episode!

  • i have a question

my karateka is at the same lvl as yours but has only like 1015hp and hes at job lvl 29 he has a lower hp bounus than yours

    whats up with this?

  • Geomancer useful in next area?

  • Yeah, Geomancer is going to be useful for the next few areas. I'm going to be using better options, but if you're going to use him, this would be the time.

  • @HCBailly Gigamash is Gigameth in the DS version.

  • there is much plundering to be done!

  • Gigameth has a whopping 10000 hp in the ds version. Also his lightning attack does more damage(around 700 last time I played).

  • i know hes freaking hard... until u get to lvl 27

  • Arg! I couldn't stand this boss! I was stuck on it for about two weeks!

  • Warning! The Nautilus is screaming fast for a little 8-bit ship (16-bit on DS), so it's easy to overshoot your targets.

Air battles will become standard when you push through Dalug, so keep your HP up. We'll get help for that much later.

  • Three cheers for the 6 year olds!

  • Wow! Refia did over 2000 dmg with that last jump! Yikes! That was nice of them, they blow up your last airship, so they replace it for free! Satisfaction guaranteed.

  • When in doubt, Jump on him!

  • his name is Gigameth in the DS version

  • You should read some of the 8-bit theater comics, they're pretty funny.

  • lol Temple of Time? As in Zelda?! xD

Man, I love these videos. This game is awesome.

I remember my friend Steven illegally downloaded this game onto his computer when he was about seven.

  • And I remember a time when people kept piracy to themselves.

  • Hey now, I didn't do it. =P

  • -STAB-

  • Good thing, that you don't fight Garuda at the end of some Dungeon, or many would curse the DS version for lack of Save Points in dugeons

  • wow when i played the DS version i gave draggon to all my party cause i thought it would be cool, but i did not expect to need the job for a boss

  • garuda was a pain for me since he used lightning twice in one round on the DS and anihilated my party -_-

  • tie ds version i got killed in 2 hits

  • Um... you forgot the shopping list.

  • Thanks for reminding me. I've made the appropriate changes.

  • @HCBailly The DS Version renamed Gilgames "Gigameth" which I like more for some reason.

  • lol, "steal anything you want!" That reminds me of Thief from 8-bit theater.."They left everything that was nailed down..I did not."

  • I had to laugh when you were sorting your items

  • i dought Gilgamesh would have Garuda for a pet when he has Enkido

  • I think, that advisor's name (it stay's Gigameth on DS), and Gilgamesh are just coincedence. I doubt, that they would make his name based on someone we fight, and kill on the first meeting. Gilgamesh is way to epic character to be based on someone like that.

  • clash of the bridge greates music in ff even though to my opinion they ruined it in 12 and im belive im close to garuda im on level 24 im playing the ds version though ff 4 ds is coming out very soon i already pre paid for it i wonder what will get remade next i hope number 6 thatd be cool

  • in the DS version, the king's adviser (Gigimesh) has big-ass sideburns

  • The king was being controled via magic? who wouldve imagined!

  • roflmao. That was great HC. I didn't know you liked to do that sort of thing with the music.
