  • If the US Dollar wasn't backed up by the US military no one would even be talking about Greece today. Anyway, the way that other Eurozone nations are going, e.g. Italy, all the efforts of the EU beauracrats to focus the world attention on Greece as if it was the only economically mismanged nation in Europe are failing. Greece was a media scapegoat for the bigger failed economies of Europe. Focusing 100% on Greece gave bigger EU nations (e.g. Italy) more time to fix their own act. But they failed

  • @Achilles1389 Of course Greece isn't the only mismanaged nation in the Eurozone. There are key reasons as to why so many Europeans are grinding their teeth though. :/

  • Well done Greece!! Tell those EU elitists to go jump in the river, Vote no in the referendum and bring back the drahma

  • Dominique Strauss Kahn, the Jewish former head of the IMF (during much of the Eurozone Crisis) & once a candidate for leadership of the French socialist party & presidency said.

" I wake up every morning and think about how I can help Israel." -- "Tribune Juive" (The Jewish Tribune).

The Zionist international banking system has helped Greece run up it's debts (Goldman Sachs helped Greece cook it's accounting books) & is now waiting in the wings to buy up Greek assets for pennies on the dollar

  • @Achilles1389

The Greeks did an excellent job of running up their own debt. It was Greece that spent the money. You screwed up and now you blame the Jews?

  • @joe1026 Greece will pay for it's corruption, economic mismanagement. The question to be asked is. Will the Jewish international banksters be taught any painful lessons? The answer ? Most likely a big fat NO !!!

Jewish Wall Street bank Goldmann Sachs was up to it's neck in helping Greece hide it's data, with inventive accounting. EU bureacrats have tried to get the world to focus on Greece but now that Italy is going under, the pretense that Greece was the only mismanged nation is plainly false.

  • @Achilles1389 Please stop your sick comments about 'Jewish' bankers. You don't seem to have a problem with finding scapegoats as long as they're not Greek.

  • @jaybee61 When did I deny that the Greek national leaders & people have economically mismanaged their nation & engaged in not so petty & petty corruption respectively ? Please, re-read my comment above. No, the truth is that you being a Jew, don't wish to see the Jewish banksters exposed for their criminal actions. You want to have your cake (commit the crime) and eat it to (not even be exposed for it).

  • @Achilles1389 Even though I'm not Jewish, I admit: it's all my fault. You can blame the financial crisis on me. But can you just stop this ridiculous 'Jewish' bankers comment, because you're making a complete fool of yourself.

  • Moronic... now the lazy greeks that lived off government jobs that didn't really profit the country are going to decide the fate of the WORLD economy; great move... big blow to the idea of democracy...

  • There is a sort of awful beautiful logic to what is now unfolding in Greece. Can't you all see the irony? Greece which came up with democracy, 2500 years ago throws the political elite of Europe today into panic by asking it's people to decide its future.....lol

  • Papandreou has gone completely mad, just like the Greeks who think they're better off without the EU at the very moment when they're practically bankrupt. And it's not the bankers who will feel the pain, it's hardworking Europeans who are definitely not responsible for the trouble Greece is in now.

  • When you owe 3 hundred billion it is the banks problem! Well done Greece. The whole Ponzi Scheme is now starting to panic!

  • "Beggars can't be choosers and the fact that Greece even thinks they have a choice in accepting the EU debt deal is beyond logic." (Kathy Lien)

  • Great job Greece. you spent the last 40 years making your country into a 3rd world nation. Just finish the job you began.

you complain about austerity measures, your government won't have enough money to pay for it's electric bill if you default. The inflation that you will experience when you drop the euro will be historic.

  • @joe1026 Joe just some "details" that you probably never thought of: Greece is an agricultural country. That means that Greece produces food and doesn't need to import it like the north-west countries. In addition, in Greece there is only one company of electricity and its public. The state produce energy, using its natural resources. Again, doesn't need to buy the energy. That's why Greeks do not afraid of bankruptcy.

  • @MrBobiras u cant survive on feta cheese ,tomatoes, and goat milk , theres no industry nothing,

  • @MrBobiras

It is because of ignorant citizens like yourself that Greece is in Trouble. Agriculture only accounts for 3% of Greece's GDP. Public employees make up 40% of the work force. Additionally, Greece is a net importer of Fossil fuels.

Is there no education in Greece or is everyone living in fairy land. There are more registered owners Porsche Cayenne's in Greece, then there are people earning over 47,00 euro's per year. time for your citizens to stop spending and start working.

  • @joe1026 I will not event try to give you an idea of the situation in Greece and the economy. I'm tired of trying to explain to completely manipulated people how is the real situation in Greece. And don't point your finger on Greeks, your country is even more bankrupt than Greece. The only think that saves you is that you type money out of nothing and support the dollar with your oil wars.

  • @joe1026 yeah, 1 billion drahma for one US dollar! LOL

and because of the economic tidal wave that will hit the global economy... 1 US dollar will probably be 1 millionth of a yuan... :| cuz China's gonna rule the world...

so 1 yuan will be a million billion or one thousand trillion drahmas.... man, greeks think they're slaves to the EU now? wait till get under the iron fist of China.... now THATs slavery

  • @bbphnix 50% of China's exports go to the Eurozone. If the Eurozone collapses, Chinese exports go down by 50% and China's "economic boom" will also end. China like the rest of the world is interconnected economically & will not rise above the rest. It will sink just as fast. Spectacularly so.

  • @bbphnix To all people comparing this to the U.S> debt. while the U.S. is currently under bad leadership. the fact is the the largest companies are still U.S. companies. Microsoft, Apple, Google, Cisco, GE, Oracle, Dell, HP. Intel, IBM .....

While they have sent many jobs to china. this trend is beginning to reverse for a number of reasons. The same thing happened in the 80's in regards to Japan and Korea.

Greece by contrast has very little economic production.

  • fucking twat. you coward. were all living like fucking animals and this little shit cant stand up to his responsibilities. whatever happens, he will blame it on the voters. trying to squirm his way out of another one. pathetic little cunt. your country hates you.

  • NAI 0% OXI 100% OUT OF EU NOW

  • here comes the pain banker scumbags..hahahahahaha......can you smell what is cooking.....

  • ugly papandreu tries to save his ass , he afraids of angry greeks.,

the whole greece should have been thrown out of euro zone long time ago,

they should go back to their drahmas, its annoying, lazy greeks go and work,

work work and earn your own money, dont demand an protest !

  • @amsterdamlove Lazy like all the Americans protesting in Wall Street? lol

Try not to comment on things you dont understand, especially when you're not even european

  • @amsterdamlove man go watch your tv more maybe you get more stupid!

  • come on people of Greece! We're all rooting for you, you can do this!

  • @reshad1 I hope Greece pulls this off, then it may bring a referendum to the UK. Fingers crossed

  • To the Greek people. It is better to default now then to have the bankers own your country and future. Don't be a slave to the banking cartel. Be free and enjoy life in your beautiful country. Freedom is the ultimate wealth!

  • @yellowsheeps beautiful? what do u see beautiful in todays greece -nothing , just angry lazy greeks, they want

    eat and shit nothing more

  • @amsterdamlove Stoping smoking weed and get real, this crisis was caused by German banks, not citizens.

Greece is a beautiful land and it's great that George P has done somehting truly democratic and has told germany to fuck off!!

The Euro was the worst thing to happen. I want Greece to get rid of the Euro. By the way, I hope you work on your anger issues.

  • @EffLabels i dont smoke anything, so dont you worry about that, and im not a big fan of germany, you are out of your mind when u say the whole crises was caused by german banks, germany gave you so many billions

which you were eating and shitting and never pay back, and you need more and more and more its like nothing

enough for little stinky greece. Greece wasnot ready to join eurozone , greek government gave false information ,they fudged the numbers just to be in euro zone, so shut up now

  • @amsterdamlove

as an american i can understand that the only history they teach you is your own,do your self a favour-read history of both countries and then speak -your little germany was abt to collapse into a recession if they didnt enter the euro, the roles have been reversed, and the roots of the problem can be traced to the global economic crisis that began in 2008, which was fuelled by the collapse of the US housing bubble and the subprime mortgage market.

  • @amsterdamlove Undoubtedly we received billions which we miss-managed. Obviously our political/social system is corrupt and inefficient. But when it comes to Greece joining the euro-zone, political leaders at the time were well aware of the fiscal situation in Greece and yet again allowed us to join. You can blame Greece all you want and to a great extent you are correct, but do not try to convince yourself that the banking and political system in Europe is transparent.

  • @Gkazantzis32 Undoubtedly the banking and political system is not transparent. But do not try and convince yourself that Papandreou is doing anyone a favour with this political suicide: he thinks he's saving his position, but he's risking losing everything. Now that's his choice but why showing yourself an unreliable partner to countries that are trying to help: don't forget the money is coming from hardworking taxpayers all over Europe.

  • @jaybee61 I appreciate where the money is coming from. And I do understand the rage of the EU taxpayers. However, I question the motives of the 'help' that is being provided. That's why we need transparency and a unified fiscal governance. Initially my comment was aiming to EffLabels, because is obviously either illiterate or just a 'fire-starter' and most definitely does not have his facts straight. People see Greece as the scapegoat and fail to realize where the problem really lies.

  • @Gkazantzis32 See what you mean, I guess finding scapegoats is what all parties are pretty good at. It's too easy to blame the Greeks, just like it's too easy to blame the Euro, or blame the bankers, politicians or blame whoever. We were all there, we voted for the politicians, we needed the bankers . We were all trying to enjoy the good times, we all wanted to borrow in order to consume more and live in bigger houses. So for all those who blame others only: hypocrisy rules.

  • @amsterdamlove Firstly, Germany never gave 'Greece' anything, The 'loan' went straight back into the banks who were the asseholes to cause this in the first place. That money does not go anywhere near the people. Fact. If Greece fudged the numbers, then by your logic so did Italy, Spain, ireland, Portugal and the US because they are ALL in debt, therfore they ALL lied?. (Italy is something like 1 trillion in debt)Wake up, Greece is simply a scapegoat. The sooner the Euro is done the better

  • In case of referendum media will go crazy and try to brainwash greek to vote yes. Even though padandreou will create a dispute between citizens between yes and no, I still believe it was a right choice for him to make, but of course that doesn`t place him in as a good president or even close to it. Yet the 151 have to vote for that referendum to take place.

  • @hellerase Are you sure there will be a real brainwash to avoid a real debate on a real, important question? Especially if 151 mps are needed.

It's like opinion polling, when you ask the question you have a gross idea of what the answers will be.
