  • @Wolfsbane909 The Cardigans came before this song.

  • I guess I'm not the only one who remembers seeing this on the '97 MTV VMAS. It was only a small clip, but stuck with me. The only thing my cousins & I could remember was the "Bartender Give You Everything" part. So I guess it is a cover of The Cardigans "Gorden's Gardenparty". I always thought it sounded so similar!

  • @lorinababeana Which came first? Mavi's song or the Cardigans??

  • they used to play this on mtv2 all the time

  • This song was nominated at the '97 MTV Video Music Awards...but there was a (better) song from Japanese in the same category...Does anyone know who/what it was??!! It was Yasashiki-something...Anyone have it on tape?!?! Please help :D

  • @Gaeilgeoir chara by yasashii kimochi

  • @yulogarcia Thx ^_^

  • tnx for uploading .. =)

  • this was nominated for 97 vmas international award. europe won the award

  • but u don't speak mandarin thats all, just odd thats all. btw this is an old old song was just surprised that anyone even remember this song

  • Bartender give you everything

  • hahaha I remember this from the VMAs too

  • I remembered this video too,LOL,

  • An interesting take on the Cardigans version, lmao!

  • Ummm....okay?

  • "Bartender_Give_You_Everything" would be a great search tag for this song.

MAN this is hard to find! Couldn't remember the exact title.

    Thanks for the upload!

    5/5

P.S. Didn't think anyone else would remember that MTV VMA clip. I've heard the song. Never saw the video until now.

  • lmao i thought i was the only person on earth who remembered that,i think it was the '99 vma's

  • The song is a remake of Gordon's Gardenparty by The Cardigans.

  • Because I'm free to listen and enjoy any music I want. Nothing stopped me from buying the Darling vcd that I uploaded this from either...

  • @ocnj179, You are WELCOME for the TRANSLATION I GAVE YOU BTW! What's next you going to ask me to translate her other hit song "Darling" or "Snow-man"?

  • Huh? When did I ever ask you for a translation? Troll somewhere else

  • @Wolfsbane909 So because I don't know Italian I shouldn't listen to Opera? Or because I don't know spanish I shouldn't listen to hispanic music? This is a fun and enjoyable video despite the fact that most people don't know mandarin :P

  • @Rosefelixlg33, Well it doesn't fit the cliche'. Thats like me an Asian guy walking down the boulevard with an Boombox pumping out BOLLYWOOD, saying its the "bombdigiggity" & doing the indie head roll & shouting "Mata-juite"!

You are free to listen to whatever the fuck you want, I don't know italian but I listen to the Opera for the music; barber of seville, Requiem, carmen..etc.

Just sayin' wouldn't it be easier if they actually knew Chinese? as it is sung in CHINESE?!!

  • yes it is sung in Mandarin, but my point is... music is music and people will listen to it no matter what language because it is enjoyable to listen to. You dont neccesarily have to know the language to enjoy the song--like opera or any other type of music, if it sounds nice, people will listen no matter what.

  • I think it was sampled on the Grammy's, along with Silverchair, Chara's "Yasashii Kimochi," Asha Bohsle's "O Mere Sona Re," and a few others that I'm DYING to remember... does anyone remember the Latin group whose clip was shown??

  • Crap.. it was the MTV awards.

  • Chilanga Banda by Café Tacuba?

  • YES!...The greatest mexican band.

  • @ocnj179 más bien Gordon's Gardenparty de Cardigans

  • I think it was Molotov that year. Dame la Fuerza or something?? Yeahh and it was Asha Bhosle for India with O Mere Sona Re. Mavis Fan with this song, Chara with Yasashii Kimoche and from the Philippines it was The Eraserheads with Ang Huling El Bimbo. that was the year I got into foreign music hahaha.

  • i saw this for the 1st time as mtv awards clip & just thought to look it up too. thanks for your comments. idon't feel so alone out here now!!!

  • oo esto lo vi en los vma 97 jajaj super!!! que linda la chinita jejej ...cool

  • omg, i totally remember this song! i used to love her so much! still do, in fact. she has a certain charisma that modern singers don't have

  • discovered this thru the mtv awards as well. found the mp3 soon after, but only thought of looking for the video tonight. pretty cool.

  • Wow just the same to me... it's amazing how a small bit of a video could make such an impact on us... I never forgot it... and I guess you guys know this is a cover version of The Cardigans' "Gordon's gardenparty".

  • Yeah finding that out was surprising too.

  • I remember seeing a clip of that video back in 1997 on the Mtv Video Music awards. And I never foget. I've always wanted to see the whole video. Its so cute!

  • Wow I first saw this during the 97 mtv video music awards too. It took me till 1999 to finally hear the full song. And I finally bought the VCD with the video in 2004
