Pretty much. It's not so much of the freshness of the monster, but more of the level. The higher the level, the more exp you get. It's how enemies sort of scale in Shining Force games, and how you have a constant flow of exp to grow upon. If they didn't do that, you'd stop leveling quickly or at all after about level five. :v

do you know the XP-lvl`s like:

1 lvl diference-20 XP

2-3 lvl difference 34XP

4-5 lvl difference 45+ XP

cause it would come in handy for training for me(SF reserection of the dark dragon)

Actually, I think SF1 has a completely different system all together. Run by Shining Force Central to see if they have a guide or two for that game, and how exp works.

Also, I fibbed earlier, this game does have a sort of freshness system to it. The less a character has fought a monster, the more exp they gain from it.

First of all well done very entertaining, but the ultra lance does give you an instant kill move, just did the next battle myself and got the move.

What type of accent does Halibut have? I've always loved it, it's my favorite accent, but I've also never known what type of accent it was.

I believe it's a British accent. It's my favorite too. I think people just sound smarter and funnier with it. (^_^)

This brought back memories. In my first playthrough "Kite" and Dantares became my first soulmates in this very battle. Fantastic work on this LP; can't wait to watch you tackle the next battle.

Are you going to play Scenario 2 and 3 in japanese or are you going to use the translated versions of these? I've been playing SF3 as well and Scenario 2 went quite smoothly dialog wise with but the Scenario 3 version I got is in quite a raw state as from a given and early part of the game I only get script messages rather than speech.

I can't believe you got Soulmate between Synbios and Dantares! In my playthrough of SF3 I got around 15 Soulmate statuses across the three discs, and they were all male-female friendships.
