It's clear that things had changed. In the old days, no preacher would be stopped whether they had permit or not. But because of these, we need to go by the rules and follow Jesus word by word. To argue with the authorities when we are not 100% right, it's not the way to go. And even if we are right, arguing does not help.

Churches know that they need a permit to preach in public when they are blocking the street. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. It's about obeying the rules. It's not hard to obtain a permit. They also need signatures. The best thing to do is to go to your local precint before any public activity.

I'm just saying, from my experiences with cops and rangers (who are cops), they generally don't take being interepted and talked over very well. I just think they're good cops for doing their job while keeping their cool. Most cops are a bit more high strung.

Churches know that they need a permit to preach in public when they are blocking the street. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. It's about obeying the rules. It's not hard to obtain a permit. They also need signatures. The best thing to do is to go to your local precint before any public activity.

Ok i think park police should be commended for not kicking his ass. I think the only thing one did wrong was put his hand in front of the camera. The park rangers arnt doing anything wrong so why try to block the view.

@tristatenews Just so you know, it isn't a Ranger blocking the camera. It's one man switching off the camera to another, you can hear them saying "give it to me". This was an anti-abortion protest, I'm driving the horse in the background going up the street. I was lucky because I kept ending up next to the same nice young man with a sign and not up front with the wavers and screamers.
