I love this, even though I don't understand a word of Finnish (which I find a very interesting and beautiful language) so could someone perhaps tell me what the song is going about?
@eurovisionbelgium111 The title is "Forbidden Rules" and the song starts by listing common morals that one shouldn't break and saying "No! Don't you dare!", step on the grass, spit on the floor, drink too much, etc... And the latter half turns around and says, but if one dares, he/she can decide for himself, whether to step on the grass, go to the bars, to ever be faithful, etc...
I think original 60's and 70's albums (vinyls) have so high value in Finland that those records you will rather find in special old records' stores instead of flea markets or antique stores. Of course if you are very fortunate you might sometimes find something interesting. I live near Hietalahti flea market but I have never found anything special there, I allways get the feeling that dozens of old record collectors have been there going through the stuff before me...
Yes, perhaps the selection could be better... Actually I don't know that well about availability - I have a big collection of old Finnish movies but they are all recorded from TV.
At this moment my best is Radio-Shopen in Stockholm, the owner is Finnish and he has a large selection of finnish movies of all times, either VHS or DVD, something with good prices (but the average price is 20 euros each).
I was disappointed in Helsinki where the most of dvd shops are filled by hollywood low-quality blockbusters...
Yes, and I remember when in Helsinki (or Hellsinki from a HM store in downtown) I had a dinner in Viiden Pennin restaurant on Mannerheimintie talking with the owner on '60 and '70s music and about Kaurismaki brothers and Jorg Donner or Kati Outinen and he said me that "everybody in Finland loves Kristiina Halkola"!
Another curiosity: is about the word "kiitos", I heard a lot of different accents, somebody say kììtos, other ones kiitòs and some others kiid'(o)s.
At the hotel (Haaga best western), at my "huomenta" the manager replied "huomentahuomenta" and for a couple of days I thought he was angry with me...after I understand ths is the correct way to answer.
Tää on ihan oikea Burt Baccarach biisi. Kun Austin Power 8 tehdään tämä biisi pääsee varmasti siihen.
Yes Baby! Esko Linnavallin hieno biisi!
Vuonna 1968 Hautala edusti Suomea Eurovision laulukilpailuissa Esko Linnavallin sävellyksellä "Kun kello käy". Kappale jäi jaetulle viimeiselle sijalle saaden yhden pisteen.
Is the piano of tune intentionally or by accident?
Onkohan piano tarkoituksella epävireessä? Luulisi että tommosen huomaisi nauhoittaessa aika iisisti kun tänne asti kuuluu.

Tässä on Jörg Donnerin "Mustaa Vaikolsella" kalvon...
is my finnish right?
So this clip is taken from the film Mustaa Valkoisella, a 1968 film.

This is my re-cut version which has a complete song, in the movie there was a
shorter version of the song (without middle part of the song).
Movie terms:
movie = elokuva (you can say also "filmi" in everyday spoken language)
film = filmi
(kalvo = Transparency Film For Overhead Projector)

Kiitos
But, why I haven't found any Finnish pop singers fo '60-70s records in Helsinki?
I asked in a lot of antique stores and Hietalahti flea market but...nothing, only an overdose of american music.

Of course the music of 60's and 70's artists is available in many cd-collections which you can also find in Internet Music stores.

I bought this film at Filmifriikki but I wondered that there isn't a great selection of classic Finnish movies as Valentin Vaala's times or before...

Hmm... I started to think have I ever been there in "Viisi Penniä". A long time ago maybe - perhaps in the 90s...
Sirri2 2 years ago
@Sirri2 question: viiden pennin=the fifth penny
viisi pennia=five pennies?
My next trip will be in Tampere, do you advice it?
xrayqqq 1 year ago
@xrayqqq
Yes, viisi penniä = five pennies.
viiden pennin (genitive case) = "of (the) five pennies"
Viiden pennin ravintola = Restaurant of The Five Pennies.
Tampere: oh my, I haven't been there for ages... First thing that comes to
my mind is local food speciality "mustamakkara" (black sausage)
