Real great band, so much underated. They still rock even if the first three albums (four if you count Marauder) remain my favourites. The band has never really been the same after the success of On a Storytellers Night, forfeiting the progressive aspect of their music for a more AOR approach...
If you like them, be sure to check the two Hard Rain albums (Catley/Clarkin) as well as Catley solo albums.
This band never got what it really deserved. They have written some of the best hard songs ever and released one of the best albums of the 80's: On a storytellers night.Imagine talking to today's youth about Magnum when all they recognize as hard sound is Nickelback. What a pity
Totally agree. I liked one song by Nickleback, and I'm done with 'em, now. Back to the real metal for me! (Thanks for sharing, magnumrx7.) And I don't care if ppl think it's not metal. The strength and the feel is there, for sure.
Great band!!!! love em soooooo much, VERY VERY UNDERRATED!!!!!!!!!! Tony Clarkin one of the best song writers ever!! very talented bloke!!!, cheers for postin such an awesome vid mann!!
I was always more of a classic and extreme metal guy, but my god they moved me, and they still do, I always have everything up til Storytellers Night at hand, and Chase The Dragon was the album that started it all for me. They continue to amaze and astound me. Much respect.
Brings back all memories, Porterhouse, Sheff City Hall.
Saw this band on one of my first gigs cant remember if it was UFO or Nazerth. ,Met him at Brmingham Railway, our band was supposed to sound like them and Styx. Only one Magnum, Awesome
All of my favorite songs have to take me somewhere...this is one of the top tracks of my list! I get the same feeling now as I did 20+ years ago. Thanks for posting. A+++
Havn't seen this band in a long time. This is the best I heard these songs its amzing how much energy they still pump out. What a powerfull track. Thanks for posting this.
A good video of a great band. They had their share of indifferent songs and albums over the years but when they got it right they absolutely nailed it. That's not meant to sound negative; when they were good they were VERY good.
Sorry to have just learnt that Kex Gorin (Magnum drummer) recently passed away.
This is one of my fave Magnum songs and I seem to remember it was banned at the time of the Falklands War... well on the playlist of musn't be played songs.

Met and spent the day with Bob back in the early 80's. A really down to earth genuine guy who hasnt changed a bit.
