I'm making a robot that similar to yours.do you have any link that can help on doing this? how much you have spent for this robot? thanks in advance !
how to use the remote functionality what are the requirements to make/learn
please can you please help me out
i want to make a four wheeler (omni) wat do i need to make run with wireless i tried with cheap rc toys controller not worked :-( of-course not good one too learn
so whats the advantage of using 3 layers of wheels?
this is my teams first year competing and im just trying to get some ideas. I dont think were going to use omni wheels this game, dont really need it, but maybe for next
We lathed out some HDPE and cut acrylic tubing to size. We then glued on bicycle tire tubing over top of the tubing. We have made several types of these wheels. These were the heaviest by far. Our team couldn't use them because of the weight, but we sure had some fun playing with them!

How is that omni directional?
It only goes forward and turns.
You can get that with 2 (non-omni) wheels and 0-4 casters for balance (0 being like a segway)
I'd like to see it move sideways, which I assume it should be able to do with the right programming.

@dalemcleod it is pretty clear that this could easily be programmed for omnidirectional movement.

Awesome! My FIRST robotics team just used this kind of drive system with great success.
