Well, your party needs a wakeup call. That is, unless you're proud of Guantanamo Bay, fabricated Iraqi WMDs, VP Cheney's exploitation of a Katrina relief tax loophole, PMCs running rampant throughout the middle east. And I ask you again: Why would tax cuts work differently now than they did in the past prior to an economic meltdown? 600,000 jobs lost in ONLY 1 month! Get with the program! The GOP is a great party and it's a real shame it's been taken over by the greedy, self serving Neo-Cons.

You said, "it's a failure" regarding a bill that has not been passed. Interesting. And why would tax cuts work differently now than they did in the past prior to an economic meltdown? Do you believe that focusing on National Infrastructure is less important and effective than tax cuts in promoting the overall well being of a country? Which do you think would lead to an economy that not only is healthy, but has longevity: Changing marginal tax rates or making US citizens proud to be Americans?

Sixrooms...couple of things. I did not say "it's a failure" about a bill that hasn't been passed, I said it about the kind of tax rebate that is in this bill, which is/has been a failure in stemming the tide of this recession. I realize the bill hasn't passed yet. I believe the bill ought to focus on both real tax relief AND national infrastructure....not the wish list of goodies that have been added. I wasn't aware US citizens weren't proud to be Americans. They are in my party.
